So we have no kid movies and I'm wanting to start buying some that will go over well now and in the future. DS just turned 2 and DD is only 3 months but I'd like movies that can entertain both genders. Bonus points if you like them too!
Thanks!

We got a lot of movies for LO's 2nd birthday but so far she only likes Frozen!

LO's favorites are the classic Winnie the Pooh and The Jungle Book. I've put on Little Mermaid before, but it was too much dialog and the story was too complex to really hold her attention. She just turned 2.

DS loves Planes and Cars. I love them both too and could watch them over and over again!

DD is almost 2, and loves Winnie the Pooh (who she calls "Poop"), Frozen, and Cinderella.

I haven't shown it to LO yet but my ultimate favorite is Fantasia. I'd imagine that'd be great for a LO who loves music.

She is pretty well obsessed with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and watches parts of it on netflix daily.. She also really loves Brave, Frozen, and Monsters University.

Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King
I am pretty sure any Disney movie can entertain both genders.
looks like I really need to see Frozen!

I love Disney movies so that's what I've been introducing her too. She's love Frozen and Little Mermaid. Lion King and Mulan do not keep her attention yet.

His first favorite movie (approximately 20 months old) was Wall-E, followed by Monsters Inc and Cars.
Now (3 years old) he loves Wreck it Ralph, Cars, Planes, Nemo, Mater shorts.
Mostly we introduced him to the Pixar movies. We haven't introduced him to the classics yet.

I can't wait for DS to be interested in movies!! He is 17 months and will watch about 3 minutes of mickey mouse clubhouse before he bails and leaves me sitting by myself

Finding Nemo and Toy Story (3 especially) are her favorites as far as Disney/Pixar go. And I love them too!

@petunia354: HAha, yeah...LO can handle 10 minutes of Frozen in one sitting.

Wall-E was a huge hit with my son, who is 3. I like it too, even the cockroach. It might be best for 2.5 year-olds up, because there are some big blasts from Eve's arm and the rockets, and Wall-E and Eve get trapped in a trash compactor and almost crushed at one point.
Fantasia is another favorite (mostly of mine, but LO likes it as well) because it's in segments, so it's easy to turn off without provoking protest. If you skip "Night on Bald Mountain" it should be fine for the really little ones, too.

I really want to get copies of both 101 Dalmations and Aristocats for LO because he's obsessed with both doggies and kitties!
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
Aristocats, Winnie the Pooh (the original), The Tigger Movie, The Reluctant Dragon, Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood (the original), Finding Nemo, Mary Poppins, Bedknob and Broomsticks, Cinderella, Lilo and Stitch... I could pretty much go on forever but I'll stop now. But the two we watch most often are Mary Poppins and Winnie the Pooh - by request.
