The posts on piercings got me thinking. (and I'm clearly in a procrastinating mood today... lol).
I always said my idea guy would be the owner of a tattoo shop or mechanics shop or something. I lots of tattoos and like some (although prefer not a ton) of piercings. But at the same time I definitely wanted someone who was responsible and motivated and stable. So the owner of a shop like that always seemed like it would be the best of both worlds. (Don't see a lot of corporate dudes with body art! but I feel like the stereotype of just a lot of body art is a partier v. someone motivated)
Thinking on it, I feel like this comes from my dad who has a lot of tattoos (a dozen-ish) and has his ears pierced but is a general contractor so he's super responsible/smart/hardworking.
I married a corporate accountant Much more straight laced and white collar than I ever would've assumed I'd end up with, although he does have his ear pierced and actually is planning some tattoos (although none visible of course due to his job).
Kinda funny how that worked out! How about you? Is your husband your type? Do you think your type was based on your dad? Seems pretty common for people to "marry their dads" if they have a good relationship with them, even though I sort of didn't (well-- I did in terms of my dh being a really good stable guy, but not so much in terms of the superficial stuff).
