We have exclusively bought Carter's PJs in the past but they are SO slim now at 12 months it seems. We just moved from 9 months to 12 months and can barely zipper them. The problem area seems to be my DS's chunky legs.
Any recommendations for PJs that aren't so slim? I'd hate to buy a bunch of different kinds and not have them work too!

Unfortunately, this seems to be the style for PJs for 12+ months. I think it's because babies start walking around 12 months and they don't want anything to be too loose and cause tripping. Hopefully someone has another suggestion for you because I have the same issue and we primarily use Carter's too.

I recently got Gerber blanket pj's at Target and they're much roomier!
Otherwise we just kinda stuff DD into them and then move up asap... And wait till it's warmer so we can just wear 2-pc.

Our Costco sells Pekkle brand sleepers and they are awesome! They aren't all zippered but lots are, and they fit our little guys chunky thighs!

I found Gap sleepers were always enormous on my skinny baby, have you tried there?

Fleece ones are usually looser than cotton- is it cool enough for them? The cotton ones are meant to be tight fitting for fire safety (apparently once babies are mobile their parents can't be trusted to keep them from open flames while wearing pajamas?). But fleece is naturally flame resistant so doesn't have to be so tight.

I was just about to type exactly what @Foodnerd81 said. All cotton jammies are required to be made form fitting. We like the Carter's fleece with a cotton onesie underneath.

We had the same issue too. Carters has some polyester 1 piece pj's and those are not so snug. Matter of fact they are absolutely perfect. Not too loose and not too snug.

@Foodnerd81: @MrsSRS: This makes so much sense now! We actually just tried a fleece pair he got for Christmas tonight and were surprised they were so much easier to zip. Unfortunately we also just got a ton of cotton ones that we can't return since I already washed them all. Lame!

Children's place and ON seem looser than Carter's. Also, carter's has a "slim" style one, and regular one. You wouldn't know unless you read one of their tags.
