Zulily doesn't have its own line of clothing - it aggregates various different brands, so the quality, fit, etc. are all different and completely brand dependent.

That being said, I wouldn't shop there if you haven't bought anything for yourself in a long time. You can't return anything, and I wouldn't risk spending the money on it if you don't know what brand/size/style is most flattering on you.

Their sizes for me are hit and miss. I'd recommend Jane.com for new shirts They have an app too, I love it. Most of my shirts are from there. I've bought basic fitted t's - scoop neck, v neck, and crew cut, in a bunch of different colors, for $4.99 each (plus shipping). They have new deals every day.

I'd hit up Macy's, Kohl's or Belk because they all constantly have decent sales.

Maybe try Nordstrom trunk club? Tell your stylist what you want and price points.

Good idea about using a stylist. Such a great free service. Some of my favorite clothing items are things I wouldn’t have normally chosen for myself.

@MamaBear87: so I’m an interesting turn of events I just signed up for trunk club. I’m so impressionable. Ugh. I’ll let you know how it goes! (I have a Nordstrom card so the waived fee was a perk, also they only send you a box when you request one and you get to preapprove the items they are going to send you).

@MamaBear87: I would say that 80-90% of my “cute tops” are from Loft. They are comfortable enough to wear on the weekends but the patterns and fabric are nice enough to wear to work (we have a pretty casual office). The sticker prices look expensive but they regularly have sales of 40-50% off everything. So I can get a cute shirt for $20-30 and they hold up better than old navy in my opinion. Maybe worth a trip if there is one near you?

Lately I’ve had good luck with resale shops. There are a couple of new ones in my city that turned out to be really good. They are picky about the items they take to sell and organize the store in a really convenient way (by type, then size, then color, etc.). It made it really easy for me to find the specific pieces I wanted to fill out a capsule wardrobe. It was really helpful to have so many brands and styles in one place, without it looking like a mountain of junk. This year the popular neckline isn’t the most flattering on me, but at the resale shop I was able to find what I wanted since they carry styles from more than one season. I’m going to start shopping resale more often. I just got my first shipment from thredUP as well; got some nice silk items for less than I’d pay for a bargain piece at old navy.

@MamaBear87: i will! I selected the lowest price points (I still have some baby weight to lose so don't want anything super expensive)..I should get an email tomorrow with my stylists pulls. I like that i can veto stuff before the box ships. Also, free alterations for anything you purchase. fingers crossed! My "style" is super casual; I'm interested to see what she pulls.
