It's my birthday weekend! So we dropped my DD off with my in laws for an overnight stay today. We got Chinese food and I stuffed my face. I get so hungry all. the. time. Like, I'm starving every 3 hours. This never happened with my first. Anyway, tonight we're binge watching How to get Away with Murder and watching football. Tomorrow we are planning on going to a movie. But basically doing NOTHING. And it's amazing. Funny how things change when you have kids, haha.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: Happy birthday! It's my birthday weekend too! We went for a walk and picnic in the park last night for dinner. DH has a surprise planned for dinner tonight and MIL is picking up DS around noon and keeping him overnight. Not sure what the afternoon will entail but should be fun!

I've realized that I need to drop DD off for more overnight stays at my family's houses. Lol. Because this has been awesome.

As for me, my bloating has seriously died down and haven't had much nausea in a while. I feel great, but of course that makes me nervous. I hate how I can't just enjoy feeling good. First appointment is less than a week away now though so hopefully that will bring some reassurance.

@JennyPenny: I feel like Friday can't come soon enough. My DD starts school again next Monday so I didn't want to schedule any sooner than Wednesday just in case something goes wrong her first two days.

There are so many moms in March that already know! I'm right on that cusp of March/April and won't find out until right before Thanksgiving.
Right now, I'm thinking girl but honestly have no idea. And I'll be happy with either!

I really have no idea what the sex is, but I think I'm secretly hoping for a girl bc it's more familiar. 1st pregnancy and I only have a sister. I don't know what to do with boys. Obviously I'll be happy with a healthy either, but you know...
What I do know is that for me, although I used to love camping, pregnancy and camping do not mix for me. Currently in a bug-filled cabin 300 yards away from the nearest restroom. It's 4am and I'm supposed to be up in 3 hrs for a "Wilderness Medicine Adventure Race" my residency is putting on these 2 days. I just want to be home in my bed, able to sleep and pee when I need and want to.

@littleblessings: This pregnancy feels different in some ways but it hasn't made me feel like it's a girl this time. I don't have a feeling either way. Some family members really want it to be a girl but it's not getting to me. We have no preference.
I feel like my belly is looking pretty big, the problem is that even though I lost all the weight after my first, my belly always stuck out a little so now it's sticking out even more! I haven't told anyone besides our immediate families and one close friend but I'm feeling ready to tell more because I'm so excited.

@MOMTOLITTLEB: same for me! I lost almost all of the weight but it's like it's distributed differently with extra skin on my stomach. Now I feel like I have a little bump already. It makes me want to tell people sooner so I can just own the bump instead of worrying that people think I'm eating too many tacos

@justjules: Yep, I don't want to hide something I am so happy about. It was much easier to hide last time! Although, I stopped hiding it at work last time around 14-15 weeks but no one really seemed to notice until I told them and I definitely thought I was showing. So people probably don't notice the bumps the way we do!

@littleblessings: I'm guessing another boy. We have 2. DH is 1 of 3 boys, and so is his father, so.....yea. A girl would be shocking. Lol
Thanks everyone for the well wishes - I'm still so nervous for today!!! DH can't go (stupid work!), and neither can my mom (she's watching the boys)....so my Dad is taking me! My mom warned him it's transvaginal so he wouldn't be super uncomfortable (I couldn't care less, it's not like he's going to be looking lol), but I think it's super sweet that he didn't want me to go alone (they know how nervous I am!)!
Also, I look super pregnant already. WTH??? I'm 7 weeks and look like I did around 20 weeks with DS1! Lol! Hopefully everything goes ok today, because I'm not going to be able to hide it much longer!

@ValentineMommy: Thats so sweet that your dad is going with you! And for a while I was looking super pregnant too, but the past few days Ive been looking skinny again. Feels great but I do kind of miss that bump and its signal that things are growing

@littleblessings @JennyPenny: I think its a girl for me too this time. I've been so sick this time... I was sick last time but nothing like this. I threw up probably 10 times this morning (sorry if TMI) and that never happened with my son. My doctor has me trying B6 during the day and B6 + unisom at night. I definitely slept better last night but this morning was not great. I'm also super groggy from the unisom. Has anyone else tried this? I've heard you get used to the unisom eventually?

@littleblessings: I was just thinking if anyone was taking a stab at what they were having! I'm really loss in the sauce this time around. With first LO I knew it was a boy and was right. But this time I'm only thinking girl because this pregnancy is completing different.

Had my first appointment today! Everything looked good, and we got to see the heartbeat on this little nugget!
Measurements were off based on my last period date, but they think it's just from a later ovulation due to longer cycles. So I have to have another scan next week to get a better look at measurements and due date. But, feeling relieved after going today!

I was just explaining to DS (2 yrs old) that he can't jump on mama's tummy because there's a baby in there and instead of his usual denial he said "2 babies"!!! I hope he's not strangely clairvoyant...
