    how many weeks? 16+4
how are you feeling? pretty much the same - never had many symptoms and don't now
are you feeling movement yet? no
maternity clothes? not yet - wearing pants a size up (I already had them from previous weight loss) and dresses that are tight under the rib cage arent very comfortable
how's your sleep life? Ive been regularly waking up at 3-ish, but going back to sleep pretty quickly
food cravings? not that i've noticed
other fun updates? no just waiting impatiently for next appointment and anatomy scan

@MrsRcCar: when do you get to meet your new provider? I hope they are a much better fit for you!

@NorCalWayfarer: I don't have any movement up high yet!! It's still mostly below the belly button! I never had rib jabs from LO1 but I'm sure it is uncomfortable.

@littlebear16: love your announcement photo! Your DD is adorable!! So glad your nausea is at bay. I had sciatica pain from weeks 15-17 and then it seemed to disappear! I'm finding prenatal yoga is helping keep my aches away.

@dragonsword: yes I'm happy to see babe again. We are booked in for next week. For some reason I'm not worried at all, I know it's hard to get all the shots done in one sitting. I hope the next three weeks go by quickly for you!!

@delight: I'm tall enough and long waisted enough that DD never really gave me any rib jabs either. I was never uncomfortable carrying her (even though I went to 41w) so hopefully that continues this time FX. I've heard you get more pelvic pain with subsequent pregnancies so probably not lol.

how are you feeling? Not bad, I wish food tasted good again! Still feel a bit queasy after dinner, but nothing horrible. I have backaches and butt/thigh aches already.

are you feeling movement yet? Yes! Especially today... maybe she likes spicy sushi!

maternity clothes? yes, feels so good to not have to try to hide the bump anymore, not like I could if I tried!

how's your sleep life? meh, it's on and off. I have weird dreams that make me upset because they are just so weird and make absolutely no sense at all.

    food cravings? mostly fruit/juice

other fun updates? we asked our ds to give the baby a name, and he's been calling it "Geico" like the insurance commerical. Very interesting nickname for sure!

@kes18: I never heard of Betabrand, are the pants really like yoga pants? Sounds really comfy! Your anatomy scan appointment is the same day as mine! Hope the next couple of weeks fly by for us.

What's everyone's plans for Father's day? I'm hoping I can get DS to do an art project to gift DH, but I'm running out of time!

  6. kes18

    apricot / 485 posts

@dragonsword: Well I would say that are probably just as comfy as yoga pants! They're a thicker material though, so not as thin as most yoga pants. I find the straight leg ones to be the most comfortable. No band digging into your stomach. That is always my problem with pants, they irritate my tummy for some reason. I pretty much gave up all of my old work pants and quit wearing them. I also like lower waisted items (as opposed to real high) because I don't like the binding feeling and those tend to have a lower waist (not too low though).

    cherry / 116 posts

@delight: Thank you! I didn't expect it to be so difficult to get a readable picture of the shirt! I'll have to try yoga. I'm worried the pain will get really bad if I'm having it already!

@LAZB: I love this stage. Even though I have been through it before, it's so fun seeing and feeling the stronger movements.

Anyone have their Anatomy Scan this week? If so good luck!!! I have my Part 2 on Wednesday for follow up pictures.

@delight: So fun you get to see baby on Wednesday! I can't wait til I can feel movements more consistently! My 20 week scan is in about 2 weeks. I'm doing my scan at a perinatologist group through the neighboring hospital bc I think going back to MFM will be too hard for me.

Hey ladies - I love catching up on all the posts. I'm 20W 6days - we had our anatomy scan last week and decided to be Team Green. We found out with both or son and daughter so this one will let be a long waited surprise.

hello everyone! I've been MIA for a few weeks but we just got back from our trip to Hawaii! It was SO nice and relaxing - even traveling with a 20-month-old! Definitely a fun and family-friendly destination (and we were staying in a house so it was nice to have the comforts of home - especially laundry!)

    How many weeks? 18w yesterday
how are you feeling? Good! Finally! About two weeks ago I gradually started feeling better and food started tasting/sounding good again. I threw up breakfast once last week but I'd say about 80% better on the nausea front. I'm still having a hard time drinking a lot of water, so I'm not peeing like crazy or waking up much in the middle of the night. But if I do wake up - I'm WIDE awake...so annoying!
are you feeling movement yet? Just starting to feel flutters, especially when I lay on my stomach.
maternity clothes? mostly just pants, but my belly popped a bit this week so I should dig up my maternity shirts!
how's your sleep life? Pretty good, with occasional insomnia.
    food cravings? Nectarines!
other fun updates? My toddler has been kissing my belly lately. I'm not sure how much he really comprehends, but it's so sweet!

@theknest: team green is so fun. I'll update the list tonight!
@sandy: not too much longer until your scan! I am glad you are able to do it somewhere that won't cause too much anxiety. It will be hard no matter. I was nervous again today even though everything has been going fine. Has your bleeding slowed?
@LatteLove: awwww my DD kisses my belly too and I love it. So jealous that you were in Hawaii. That is my dream vacation! So nice your nausea has let up too!
@LAZB: thanks lady! All went great!

So baby was pretty uncooperative again and it took an hour just to get a couple of heart and diaphragm pictures but they eventually got it. Met with my genetic counsellor immediately after and all looks great. She "graduated" me from her services and I'm no longer considered high risk. Time to relax and enjoy the ride. My DD asked specifically for a foot picture so here one is! Looks like a long-legged athlete to me

@LatteLove: cute! My 2 year old puts her head on my tummy and has been telling daycare she has a "baby brother" but not sure if she really understands. She also tries to stand on my stomach and doesn't mind trying to kick me so she doesn't quite get it lol.

@delight: what a cute little leg! congrats on graduating!

@LatteLove: wb! I'm glad you enjoyed Hawaii! That is so sweet of your DS. Mine puts his head on my belly and always says random things like, "i think she's tickling me". It's pretty adorable!

@delight: congrats on having a great scan, even though the baby wasn't cooperating! awesome picture of the leg too, it looks sooooo long!

  27. LatteLove

@delight: yay for baby! Sweet little foot. And you successfully stayed team green? I'm so paranoid about my ultrasound in a couple weeks - that the tech will accidentally slip! (Have to go to a new place this time, not with my doctor's office like last time).

  28. delight

    pomelo / 5326 posts

@LatteLove: I have told the techs right away for my scans that I am TG! They haven't let anything slip. A few weeks ago my genetic counsellor (who does know the gender) said something that made me think "girl" but then said something else today that leaned towards "boy." So now I really have no clue!
@sandy: so glad your bleeding has slowed down. What a worry though. Hope you are feeling well otherwise.

@LatteLove: @delight: The technician at my last MFM appointment referred to my baby as a girl the second I walked into the room, then proceeded to ask if we knew/wanted to know the baby's sex. She explained that she calls all babies "she/her" to avoid making a mistake and telling someone. I had a different tech once tell me she switched up her generic reference to baby's sex by the day!

So glad to see people doing well! Good luck to everyone with upcoming anatomy scans. I have anatomy scan part 2 on Monday (a growth scan, but they'll re-do all the measurements from last time). I'm trying to eat lots and take it easy and give this girl a chance to grow, grow, grow!

    @delight: LOVE the foot!

@kes18: @LatteLove: Super cute that your LO's are loving on the belly. My DDs' reactions range from sweet to creepy....on the sweet end, DD1 likes to talk to the baby and asks what she's doing all the time. DD2 also occasionally touches the bump and asks if the baby is kicking, but recently she bumped into me and asked "I hurt the baby?"...when I told her no, she gave me a devilish grin and announced "I gonna BITE the baby!" eeek! They fell asleep tonight pretending that DD2 was having a baby (they share a room) - I heard DD2 screaming "<DD1>, <DD1>, the baby's coming! The baby's coming out!" Little weirdos!

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm nearing 21 weeks and feeling every day of it! I don't appear huge, but bending over to give baths and pick up toys is getting uncomfortable....and pressure on my bladder...OMG! Definitely need to plan our outings to parks with accessible bathrooms these days!

  32. delight

    pomelo / 5326 posts

@PinkElephant: Do you believe the tech who called your baby a "she" and then she said she calls all babes that? Maybe she was just covering her butt in case you said you didn't want to know!! It must be hard for a tech to have that info right in front of them and not accidently slip up.
At my first anatomy scan last week when she was showing me some views, my baby all of a sudden took its legs and put them way over its head. I knew if the tech moved the wand just a little I would have a good view of the "goods".

Hi ladies! Lovely to see everyone's updates! Cute scan @delight! Perfect little foot. Glad to hear you're now low risk!

    how many weeks? 18 today!
how are you feeling? I feel great mostly, but I still have bouts of exhaustion, particularly when I do any type of exertion. I immediately want to go home and lay down.
are you feeling movement yet? yes! I'm shocked that I've been feeling it since week 14. I didn't expect that. Now at 18 they're getting more frequent and stronger. It's so fun because I'll be going about my day, busy busy, and then I'll feel his little bumps and flutters and I'm like, oh yeah! Hey you!
maternity clothes? I've been building up a few things here and there. I definitely surpassed the point where I could still wear my regular pants about a week ago. I had a week-long work conference, so gathering professional and bump-friendly clothes for 5 days was interesting.
how's your sleep life? Some nights perfect, some nights so weird and bad. My dreams are crazy!
food cravings? Caesar salad, kid's cereal (frosted flakes, kix, cinnamon toast crunch), bean burritos
other fun updates? It's just started to get hot here in the PNW. I'm starting to really feel the effects of the heat! My mom is running for local political office so I've been doing quite a few outdoor activities for her (parades, doorbelling, BBQ) and man does it tire me out with all the sun and walking!

Just got back from my anatomy scan, and everything looks great! He is measuring about a week ahead, and very active. I was right about having an anterior placenta and that he is currently breech, so good to know there is a reason I'm not feeling him as much. It was a relief to have a clean bill of health!

    @LAZB: Congrats! Cute profile shot

I had a follow-up growth scan yesterday - baby is still measuring below 5th percentile but grew appropriately from my last appointment, and all my amnio results are back and normal. We are so relieved! I have to do a few more growth scans, but they are very much precautionary. The MFM specialist I saw this time was really practical in her explanation that growth/size are on a curve both for the population and for the individual, and what we're probably looking at is that (a) I'm a person who makes small babies, as evidenced by two previous 5.5 lb births, and (b) this baby may just be on the small side of MY individual growth curve as compared to her sisters.

@LAZB: yay for a great scan!!! And that photo is adorable!!! I'm not feeling much movement either.

@PinkElephant: so glad everything is coming back healthy for baby!!!

@Plainpistachio: mmmm I'm totally craving kids' cereal. I've been sneaking handfuls of Fruit Loops!
@LAZB: cute baby! So glad everything looks great!! @PinkElephant: so glad your amnio came back in the clear. Baby girl will just be a little peanut and there is nothing at all wrong with that.

I'm starting to get BH contractions which seems early. I think I noticed them more today because it wasn't so hot so I didn't drink as much.

My DD is constantly talking and asking about the baby. "Is it kicking you right now? Is it wearing a diaper in your belly? Is it crying right now? Is it Halloween tomorrow so the baby can come out?" Oh boy maybe we shouldn't have told her so soon! Sorry honey we still have a few months to go!!
