Was your LO really sleepy after the 1 year shots? LO got her shots around 2:30 today. We then went and did a little shopping and she fell asleep in the car on the way home. When we got home around 4:30 I put her in crib. She slept in there until 5:30 and woke up SCREAMING. I tried to comfort her and she screamed for five minutes straight in my arms and then finally took her paci and passed back out on my chest. It's now 7pm and she's STILL asleep on top of me. Is she just out for the night because the shots made her sleepy? Or do I have a miserable night ahead of me?? Her typical bed time is 6:30ish.

@MamaMoose: has she been sleepy after shots before? My LO has never been sleepy after shots (or while sick.. or any time haha) but we have 1 year ones next week so I'm curious. Hope she doesn't scream any more! Poor M!

@scg00387: she was super sleepy after her 2 month shots. But not so much at 4 and 6 months. She's also battling a sinus infection so lots of things at play.
The little dear just woke up. No screaming... Just looking around the room dazed and confused.

We just had our one year appt (MMR, chicken pox and flu) and N had no reaction right away. He got red bumps ten days later from the MMR shot but that's normal.

@MamaChin: yup our doc warned us that localized reactions like that are delayed 1-2 weeks with the MMR.

@kml636: she really was ok. She was up until 9 because of the super late/long nap. But then she slept 9-4:30, ate for ten minutes, and then slept until 7.

my LO acted as though it never happened, which was weird because her 2/4/6 month shots all had fever, lots of screaming and crying (I assume tender legs??). She did not get MMR though, that's at our 15 month.. so maybe that's the culprit? poor thing.
