My 10 mo just started grinding his teeth. He does it constantly. He could be teething, but I don't see any other signs. Did your LO grind teeth? Was it a phase? Is this something to discuss with his ped/dentist? (We don't have any upcoming appointments, but I could call).

DD did this when she first had her top and bottom teeth, she also would make a clicking sound....it was like nails on a chalkboard
It was a phase -
Mine did around 10 months too. She's almost 13 months now and she rarely does it anymore. I think she does it just to bug us now because both my husband and I scream when she does! Haha. It's the worst sound EVER.

My older kids both did this. We did ask the pediatrician about it and they said it is completely normal. It is gross though
ETA: Gross in the same way popping knuckles or biting nails is gross. Kind of irritating.

Ugh, yes, my LO did this when he had top & bottom teeth for a couple weeks. Luckily he has discovered other fun noises (growls, etc) to make instead.

My DD did this and it grossed me out SO MUCH. Her dentist said it was normal, she was experimenting with her new teeth, and that she would stop on her own. I think she stopped around 18 months

It's such a disturbing sound but definitely happened to us too and it's normal! It only lasted a few days. Maybe a week. But then he got over it.
