Did you celebrate LO's 1/2 birthday?
Some of my cousins, had mini-parties when their LO's turned 6 months. Complete with a 1/2 birthday cake for them. And they let them "eat" the cake. They mostly played with it but I am sure some icing/cake was eaten.
R is 6 months in a week (side note, where is the time going) and I can't even imagine putting a cake in front of her.

Nope we didn't do anything. He was just starting solids so no way I would give him cake.

Nope but my LO was premature so his 6 month birthday would have been adjusted age 4.5 months. And I hope no one would give cake to a 4.5 month old.

My parents did!! I didn't for J's 6 months, and we didn't do anything for 18m but when he's older it would be fun to do this. I have such fond memories of this growing up. My mom would buy "half gifts": half-used items from ebay/thrift stores, half candy bar, half of a $10 bill (then we'd have to wait for a siblings' half so we could use it lol!), half of a cake/cupcake etc...

We celebrated by thoroughly disgusting Xander with solids! He hated it! 
But other than that, we didn't do anything special.

Nope! Afterward I kind of felt bad but... Oh well! I definitely wouldn't have let him eat cake at 6 months!

We won't be doing anything special. Taking his monthly photo and that is it.
