My LO had her 2 month shots just over three hours ago, She screamed and cried then fell asleep after a little nursing and rocking. She's been asleep ever since. I don't think she took much in during that feed, which means its been almost five hours since she's really eaten. Should I wake her up to feed her, or let her sleep? I'm nervous if I wake her up she'll feel the pain and not be able to sleep again. What would you do??

I say let her sleep...My daughter was fussy when awake on the day she got her shots, we think her little legs were sore:(. But when she was asleep, she was okay- obviously...
I think if she's hungry, she'll wake up and let you know. I would let her sleep through it if she wants to.
Plus plenty of babies STTN at that age and are fine with 8+ hours of sleep and no feedings....

We were told to wake her up to feed. Have the tylenol ready because our LO screamed quite a bit when she was awake but not eating. I had to just hold her close and walk around with her, talking and singing in her ear to get her to calm down.

Let her sleep. My daughter slept like 16 hours straight after her 2 month shots.

Actually I did the same as @MaisyMay. I let y daughter sleep though, and she woke up starving, in pain and screaming bloody murder. I couldnt calm her enough to get a full dose of Tylenol into her and forget taking her temp. It was awful. I fed her but she was still worked up all night.

Our pedi told us to let LO sleep as long as he needed and not to wake up to feed. He slept sooo well that night--11.5 hours!

@MaisyMay: @SorryCharlie: I ws told the same, i.e., that if she slept more than 5 hours, to go ahead and wake her up, feed her, and then put her back down. I didn't have to wake her (she woke on her own about 2.5 hours after her shots).
ETA: BabyGloss's 2 months shots were fine, but her 4 month shots were an absolute nightmare.

watch LO diapers - if they are heavy wet you don't need to wake to feed. if you're feeling like they are on the drier side then i would wake to feed.

... so she slept 6 hours, woke up crying and took about an hour to calm back down after nursing. I did end up giving her tylenol too. This morning she woke up in SUCH a good mood, I thought we were in the clear .... but after about two hours of being awake, the fussiness began. Poor thing ... I'm so not looking forward to 4 month shots! Seeing her like this breaks my heart!

We just went through this yesterday!
I gave her Tylenol while she slept (just took her pacifier out and she sucked on the dropper). I gave it 30 mintues and then woke her up to eat. She would eat and then go right back to sleep.

Glad this post came about. My son will get his 2 months shots this Monday. I'm not looking forward to it.
