Sounds like teething maybe? If she's drinking fluids I wouldn't worry about it unless her fever spikes.

If she's drinking and peeing that's the main thing I've always been told! Nursing sounds like a good thing; I'd just go with that. Hope she's eating again very soon!

Or hand food mouth. Has she had HFM yet?

@matador84 Those are all the places my LO got spots except for the torso, but she also had a mild case. She hasn't had chicken pox Hard to say!! Maybe call the nurses hotline and check? Sorry you are dealing with this. Either way it will be a pain!

@matador84: my son had the HFM on his torso, back, and groin, in addition to hands and feet.

@matador84: It was awful for my kids the second time. I hope she gets over it quickly! For my kids their mouth sores came before I saw other spots, but they seemed to heal first too. The not eating lasted 4-5 days, but we nursed around the clock, plus offered tons of other liquids. They did eat yogurt and smoothies when they were rejecting everything else.

I was going to say HFM as well. When my son had it it first showed up in his diaper area, creases of his elbows and behind the knees where he typically gets eczema. The next day it showed up on his hands and feet. He never had mouth sores or a fever. It seriously looked like his skin was burned. It was so sad.

It looks like HFM to me also. When DD got it a couple weeks back it actually started on her face, then went to her legs, then torso, then finally hands and feet. It sounds like your LO has sores in her mouth.

@matador84: ugh I dread seeing those notices at daycare - but *touch wood* we've never caught any of the daycare stuff yet. Given that it's the weekend now hopefully she wasn't contagious then. If it is HFM, there's a lot of debate how soon she can be back at school so that might be a question for your pediatrician.
