A friend's daughter is turning 4 and having a birthday party at a local gymnastics place. I'd like to spend a little more than normal on her gift.
The problem - her parents buy her anything she wants anytime they go to the store. They have more toys than I have ever seen in someone's house before.
She likes princesses, ponies and Ruby Gloom.

@mediagirl: what about a national geographic kids subscription? It's $15/year and you'll still have money left for a physical item. I know that's something M would love because she loves animals!

What about a movie? Something that JUST came out or maybe a classic that you don't think she would have. Otherwise maybe some holiday PJs or a fun sweater dress she could wear during the holidays?

For our 4s class, I've been doing a Sticky Mosaics kit from Amazon and an Elephant and Piggie book (a new one was just released that I would think she would be unlikely to have).

I would say consumable art supplies (since they get used up and you will always eventually get more) or books! You can never have too many books
