@MrsTiz: this was the mistake I made. You want to get one tile to add up to 2048, not get a score of 2048!

@MrsTiz: Are you referring to your score? Because the goal is to get a tile to 2048. Presumably if you can do that, your score will be a LOT higher (my score has been as high as 3800+ with a tile only as high as 256).

Dang it... I might have had it, but I hit the wrong arrow button at the end, and it would have collapsed so many tiles!!!

@Happygal: I think I need a break - actually almost cried when I hit the wrong arrow! Time for some reality... haha
I figured out a great strategy though - NEVER hit the 'up' arrow. No matter how badly you want to! Sometimes I only had 1 square left, and it would magically work. I did have to hit it once because it was the only option left, but then I hit down right away and never had to again.

the first time I played I didn't realize how the tiles moved and thought it was dumb... now I know and can't stop. aaaaack.
