i showed DH the game, he got addicted and killed my scores right away! then R pressed buttons on the computer and it went away. ha.

I tried it while waiting in the Starbucks drive thru and had to pull over and park to finish the game. When I got on the freeway, all the cars looked like pieces to stack on top of each other! Ack!!!

@T-Mom: That same thing used to happen to me when I was hooked on Tetris many years ago. Every time I saw buildings in a skyline I'd think of what pieces would fit where.

I feel so air headed, lol. I'm trying to play this game, but I'm not understanding how to move the tiles around right, lol.

I just got 13,692 and died because I had to freaking move up. That's how they trap you! I had a 1024 and a 512!

@Dandelion: You move the tiles using the arrow keys on your keyboard (or if you're playing in a web browser on your phone, just swipe the direction you want!) All of the tiles that have space to move over will, you can't move just one tile at a time.
My best is still 512, but D was playing this morning and got 1024!

Aaah, I can't decide if I love Adira for this since it's a great way to kill time during cluster feeds or if I dislike her for sending me down the rabbit hole...numbers everywhere! Lol.

So I haven't beat it yet, but I've been getting consistently close. My strategy (that I read about on reddit) is to set up the top row in descending order, with the highest number on the left top and getting smaller (so like 32, 16, 8, 2), and then only going up and left. The top row keeps getting bigger, and I'm not trying to connect big numbers all over the board. Once I get the top row set I DO NOT go down at all, and only go right to spawn a new number if I absolutely have to (and hope that it doesn't spawn on the left side).
And it makes pretty patterns (see my first picture above). I imagine you could employ a similar but opposite strategy...setting up the board on the bottom and going down and right instead of up and left.
