We did mickey mouse clubhouse for his 2nd birthday. We had a bounce house and a pinata (pull string everyone gets one string and on go they all pull, one string opens the pinata). That was a lot of fun. The kids mostly just ran around and played for that one.

Cookies and milk! I'm serving cookies, milk, and Ice cream. I rented a pavilion at a park so the kids can play....and so I don't have to make up games and shit while I'm 36 weeks pregnant

@cmomma17: Same! Brilliant hashtag.
The biggest hits for the 2yo crowd at our party were:
- helium balloons
- this tunnel

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She is obsessed. We didn't have activities since it was just family.

We did a polka dot themed party, and the best part was the inflatable pool full of balloons and balls that we had in part of the room. It was held in our church fellowship hall in December and was fun. Our favors were bottles of balloons and candy.
This year, for her third birthday, we are doing a tea party themed party.

We had a "birthday" theme since DH is anti theme. It was a bagel brunch. For activities we had a bubble machine with bubble wands and a water table. The kids were aged 1-3 and we didn't try to direct any activities. DD played at the water table the whole time.

We did a "You are My Sunshine" party, and Vi kept saying we needed lemons so it became a sunshine and lemonade party.

We did a planes, trains, cars theme. These are his favorite toys. We rented a bounce house which the kids loved. They also played with all his outside toys.

We didn't have a party but she was Daniel tiger obsessed so I made a Daniel tiger cake.
This year we're having a casual family dinner and I'm baking a curious George cake and just some yellow and red decorations.

We did Winnie the Pooh themed. Didn't have activities (kids just played with lo's toys), but did have some big cardboard character cutouts. And themes food. I'm a little obsessed with themed food

We'll probably just do a small family get together for DS's second birthday in June but I'm planning on a theme incorporating trains because he is currently obsessed with them.

We loosely based it on Disney's "Up." Balloons, flying, clouds, rainbows...it was fun!

We did a butterfly theme as DD loves them and it was easy to do, not to mention very cute. Most of the kids attending were older (all family and the kids of my close friends) so we didn't have any theme related activities - just volleyball and croquet set up in my parents' backyard and a piƱata filled with candy.

For second birthday we had a cat theme. DD LOVES our cat so it suited her. I had a cat cake and cookies along with other "kitten chow". The kids ran around wearing cat ears and tails. The only "activity" I had was coloring cat masks. DD's birthday is late August so mostly the activities were playing in the water table and on the swingset fort.

At the rate things are going, it'll be Paw Patrol. She loves it so so much, and at 20 months I don't see that ending soon.

LO really likes The Beatles, so we did a Beatles-themed party, which just consisted of punny labels for the food to amuse us and the adults (The Salad of John and Yoko, All My Oven cookies, Yellow Submarine sandwiches, etc.) and a Happy Birthday construction paper banner that looked like it was made from records. We also found Yellow Submarine lunchboxes for cheap on Amazon and used those for goody bags. But we didn't have any Beatles-themed activities. We just let the kids play and run around the living room with Beatles songs in the background.

For DS, we had a vintage Mickey mouse theme(really it was just the cake and invites haha). No activities. For DD we aren't sure yet. Maybe my little pony. Or sprinkles. Again, no activities

For LO's 2nd birthday party theme, we opted for a tractor theme, since he LOVES them. As far as activities at his party, I set up a playdoh table and had a coloring table with washable markers and crayons. Since his party was at a park, I brought outdoor toys, including a bunch of balls for the little ones to kick around the grass. The kids seemed to love it!

It was just a small shindig (I was two weeks PP with DD2), but it was Daniel Tiger themed. The invites, decor, cake and fruit tart (it was brunch) were themey. I printed some DT coloring sheets and had bubbles and kinetic sand out for play.

Elmo! But we didn't do any activities - it was just family. The kids just played with toys or colored.

I think I'm doing a music party. He loves instruments- piano, drums, guitar. He also loves Daniel Tiger, so I'll have to see what we actually do. I have a little bit of time. We're only 19 months.

DD is really into birds and Frozen right now. Her favorite color is blue so I think we'll go with Rio- bird theme. I need a break from glitter and Frozen ASAP.

Yeah. . . . we didn't do a theme. In fact, I didn't even think about any sort of decorations until the night before. So I just picked up some balloons at Party City. But the food was amazing!

Big Block Sing Song! Kind of random, but that's his obsession at the moment, so it's what we're doing.

DS is into anything with wheels or sports like soccer, tennis, and basketball so we'll probably pick one of those to be the theme. I'm still trying to decide if we want to do a party party or keep it small. We had a HUGE party for his 1st.

We had a construction themed party for DS. I didn't do cartoony stuff though, just real trucks and some Etsy decorations and stickers for favors.
