I guess you can't fault KFC for the behavior of their employee, I guess it just sucks that it happened there and many people will just think it's KFC vs innocent little girl.

But my heart just breaks for the little girl to begin with That must have been so traumatizing And now feeling like she's too ugly to go out..

Yes, I read about this!!!! I can't believe ANYONE would be so insensitive as to ask a little girl who has been BADLY INJURED to leave a restaurant because of her appearance! How HORRIBLE! I'm so glad that KFC is condemning the actions of that employee and are helping pay for her medical bills, but it doesn't make up for the fact that that poor girl already experienced an extremely TRAUMATIC event and THEN she gets insulted for appearance due to the event! My heart breaks for her!

I read this yesterday, horrible. But good for KFC for stepping up.

I heard about this and I was so sad for the girl--who to me just looks like an adorable girl with injuries, not anything troubling--but I DO really commend the larger chain for its quick action and investigation of the horrible franchise employer. I know they are offering to pay quite a bit for her medical bills and another (unrelated?) franchise owner wants to throw her a huge KFC picnic. I know it doesn't at all make up for what this poor little girl has gone for, but it still impresses me that the greater chain is doing a lot and quickly.

Are you kidding me? What's next, they'll kick an elderly war veteran with burn scars on his face out of a restaurant?

What gets me most is I'm assuming some customer actually complained to the KFC that this little girl's face was upsetting them. If I was an employee at a restaurant and someone complained to me that they didn't like looking at another customer and wanted me to remove them I would probably just stare at them in absolute disbelief.

I can't handle this! This is terrible.

This makes me so angry I seriously want to cry. Where is human decency when another, a child, has been through a life-threatening ordeal? I, too, appreciate what the franchise is doing and I pray this little girl walks away unscathed from all this.

Really sucks that employee was such an asshole. I saw that KFC is paying for some 15K of her medical treatment.

Seriously. People freaking blow.

That literally is making me tear up. So sad for her! I think it's great that KFC is trying to make amends; while it's not like it was a company-sanctioned action, it was still their employee, and they do have some responsibility in the situation. Props to them for going the extra mile to do what they can to make it right. Unfortunately, that little girl is going to carry the emotional scars of that incident for a very long time, and as a mom, the thought of that nearly tears me in two.
