Hubby is turning 30 in a few short months, and he's totally have a Third Life Crisis. I'm currently planning a party for him, but am at a total loss at what to get him for a present! I know presents depend on the person and their personalities, but if y'all could suggest some things any way, that'd be awesome!

I bought my husband one of those big complicated lego sets with a million pieces and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. He loved legos as a kid so it was a fun blast from the past for him. Of course, my husband is kind of geeky, so your mileage may vary!
*note: this also has the potential to backfire as my husband was so proud of his completed lego creation it's now prominently displayed in our house : (

Alivoo01 - What kind of guy is he? Is he fashionable? Outdoorsy? A gadget guy? Bookworm? Musician? What are some of his hobbies?
Some ideas that popped up:
- A nice, engraved watch
- A tablet, kindle, iPad, etc...
- Tickets to a racecar track where he can actually race!I'll try to think of some more!

@Mrs. High Heels: Hubby is a fairly simple person, and is more into big boy toys than anything. I thought about buying him a motorcycle, but I heard through the grapevine that he is 100% confident I am getting him one. That kind of ruins the element of surprise so no motorcycle. I do like the idea of having him test drive exotic cars around a track though. Thanks!!

What about a weekend/night away somewhere? A couple birthdays ago I surprised DH with an overnight at a hotel we love a couple hours away. It's in a great town on a lake and we like to go up there sometimes and have a romantic night away and relax in the pool and hot tub.

@Thehistoryofus: @MrsCB: Hubby works at a business that we own, therefore, trips don't work well for us. We only close once a year (Christmas day till New Year's day), and that's when we take our annual vacation. However, the hubby would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE a deep sea fishing trip. He's been dying to go since he found out about them.

I'll be keeping an eye on this, too! DH turns 30 in April, 2 weeks after the baby is here =\. I got him a really nice watch last year...so I'm not sure what to get him this year.

This isn't a real suggestion for a real gift but I propose two things:
1. Have a friend pretend to be an insurance agent and call your house when he his home and say "Hey can I please speak to ::insert your name here:: I'm calling about her motorcycle insurance"
2. Give him a play motorcycle for his bdayOf course I have no ideas for the real gift, but that's a fun gag gift!
