I am looking for some helpful feedback! My monthly is 5 days late. I have taken an HPT this morning, and the results was negative. However, I have been urinating more frequently then usual. Along with that headaches that occur everyday for the last 6 days. I'm usually am very regular, so I am a bit concerned. I even have an app that charts my exact dates of ovulation and cycle.. This has never been wrong. Could I be pregnant? Answer are greatly appreciated!

You could be! What kind of tests have you taken?

Its possible that you are, and its not showing up yet. However, there are a BUNCH of other explanations that might work, too. I know that for me, cold medication always delayed ovulation by several days (and therefore my period). Stress, illness,lack of sleep, any of those things could have thrown things off a little.
Also, I think that most women have one or two wonky cycles here and there, that don't have much of an explanation.Whether you're pregnant or not, I hope you get whichever answer you're looking for!

@Clementine: Maybe..It has never happened before, so it kind of scared me. As for everything else, I haven't taken any sort of medication, and I am getting plenty of rest! Thank you for your feedback!

@Mslipgloss: I have only taken one test. I don't remember the brand though. I think it was First Response.? Should I take another or something?

Lol, I have a post here too about pretty much the exact same thing. Although I haven't been having headaches or any symptoms, really, but that's not unusual for me. I don't get morning sickness, I don't have food aversions, I don't get headaches or sore nipples. The only thing that might be a symptom is the exhaustion I've been dealing with for the last week, but that could also be a late winter slump.
I'd say take another test, or three, lol. Maybe try a bunch of different brands, different color dyes, etc. Lol, maybe silly, but people swear by certain ones. I know my urine always results in a very faint positive with the Target brand, whether I'm pregnant or not, but don't have a problem with other brands, that I've noticed. Lol, TMI? -
@KatieS: maybe try a FRER digital? and be sure to test first thing in the a.m.

Still haven't gotten it. However, I did end up throwing up about 3 times last night around 1230 am. Is that normal? I think I will try other tests, but I might wait a couple days. What exactly do you mean by different colored dyes?.. Lol, no..Wasn't tmi (: -
@Mslipgloss: What exactly is FRER digital? I don't think I've ever seen those.. Any ideas where they might have them at?

@KatieS: There are some tests with pink lines and some with blue and they are hotly contested as to which have more false positives or are more accurate and sensitive, lol.

And I haven't got it yet either. But I have no symptoms either way. Yeah, the throwing up thing is a definite symptom!

@KatieS: First Response Early Response digital test . . . the kind that says *pregnant* or *not pregnant* instead of you having to squint for lines or a plus sign.
They are sold at most drugstores and retailers like Walmart and Target.

@KatieS: some tests have different colored inks, i.e., blue or pink. There is some debate that the blue ink tests are slightly less reliable than the pink ink tests.

@KatieS: HA! I don't know what my hopes on the matter are either, lol. One minute I have baby fever so bad and want to be pregnant in the worst way and the next I remember all the planning I've done in preparation for TTC in a few months and I want to be able to stick with that plan. My living room is anywhere near ready for a water birth yet!

@Mslipgloss: I think I'll invest in a digital test. I thought that both the lines, and the digital were the same. Let alone the dyes could bring out a different result?. I guess we learn something new everyday! The one I used was blue.. Is there a certain amount of time I should wait before I take another? Thanks again!

@KatieS: The digital won't give you a different result, but is more cut and dry. Will say whether you're pregnant or not. No evap lines to make you wonder.

@Farmwifegina: It sounds like you sort of want it to be positive (: There are just a few things that might hold back those hopes. Please forgive me, but what exactly is TTC? My older sister who is 28 had a baby girl around Christmas, and she had a water birth. She liked it, lol.

@Farmwifegina: Oh! Gotcha... I think I read it wrong. Are they a bit more accurate you think? Like being quick with the result, and being able to detect the hormone?

@KatieS: Trying To Conceive. Yeah, I guess I hope it's for real, but I'll be perfectly ok with it if it's not. I had a home birth with my first birth, but no water birth, hospital birth with my second (DEFINITELY no water birth), and really aim for another home birth when we do get pregnant again and I'd like the option of a water birth available, even if it doesn't happen.

If I were you, I would test again tomorrow with first morning urine with a 'pink dye' first response early result test. If you see any second line at all then you are most likely pregnant. Of course, like others have said here, it could be any number of reasons why your period is late, but 6 days now is a good amount of time.

Okay...So I now have another question, and Sorry if it gets a little "TMI".. My symptoms are as follows.. Fatigue (to the point I just took a 4 hour nap), frequent urination, nausea as of last night, and even right this second, heartburn(?- That's what it feels like), and headaches.. I have not been cramping, but all of a sudden I went to urinate, and there was a light pinkishorangish color.. Is that my period? It looks a very odd color, and I am not feeling like I do when I have my monthly..

@KatieS: With all if that, it sounds like only a matter of time before you your BFP! The slight spotting is normal, implantation bleeding, I think? YAY!

your symptoms certainly point to a possibility of a pregancy :)! i would just take some time to rest and try a test again tomorrow morning

Update... No longer pink. I am bleeding but not very much at all, and some look brown, mild cramps..(TMI?)

Bright red is what's worrisome. What you're experiencing is still in the realm of normal for early pregnancy. If you can get in, you may want to go to your doctor for a blood test.
