My poor little man has his first cold, his nose is so stopped up! I have a Vicks humidifier that seems to be helping, but seeing him sick is making me miserable cause I can't help! How long is my poor baby gonna suffer? Not really looking for advice just commiserations.

Ugh the worst. My LO had her first illness when we were traveling to visit family who hadn't seen her before. I felt so bad for her, so pitiful.
I know you don't want advice, but the nose frida was a godsend once I got over myself and tried it.

Poor baby! My DD2 got a cold from her big sister at 6 weeks old. It lasted 2 weeks I think but the worst was the first few days. I used the nose frida, saline spray, rubbed Vicks on the feet then covered in socks. She couldn't sleep for those first few days unless we held her and would cough a lot if laying down so we held her in an upright position. My DH and I took turns sleeping so the other person could hold her. Hope your little one feels better soon.

Ugh it's so terrible. I felt so bad for DS when he had his first cold. He just wanted to nurse but couldn't breathe! I hope your lo is better soon! You're doing a great job!

Definitely bust out the nose frida. Such a life saver. LOs first cold lasted a week.

I know you said you didn't want advice, but I hated the nose Frieda until I realized doing it with him sitting up was so much more effective than laying down. It's def a two man job that way, but works so much better. I would also block one nostril while I Frieda'd the other. And lots of saline for sure! I would wait a few minutes between using the saline drops and suctioning. These might be obvious tips to some but as a FTM, it took a while for me to figure out!!

@Kimberlybee: yea he slept in the swing(on sitting uP position, when he would sleep) and I slept in the rocker last night, so that DH could sleep since he had to get up at 4 for work.
