Looking for some sleep help! Our DD is 5 and a half months old (24 weeks). She has always been a great sleeper - 3-4 hours even as a newborn and was sleeping through the night consistently at 12 weeks for 10+ hours at a time.
The past 6 weeks have been a disaster. She gets up 3-4 times a night. Sometimes every 3 hours, sometimes every 1.5 hours. She "wakes up" screaming bloody murder and the only thing that will soothe her is nursing. I say "wakes up" because she doesn't actually seem to be awake? We call it her zombie screams.
Aside from the fact that we are exhausted, I really count on a big morning pump session to have enough milk for her at daycare. Feeding her constantly throughout the night is making that really hard.
A few things to know that might be helpful as you give advice:
-She's exclusively breastfed.
-It's been happening for 6+ weeks, so not a growth spurt?
-No evidence of teeth in her mouth. We gave her tylenol before bed last night and it didn't help at all.
-She is able to fall asleep drowsy but awake when we first put her down and for naps.
-She mostly sleeps in her crib but sometimes in the Rock and Play when she's congested.
-We moved from swaddling to sleep sacks about a week ago figuring that if her sleep was crap we may as well make the transition when we're already awake. She seems to be doing okay with it?
Any advice would be appreciated!!
