Hot Wheels, but one of those wall hanging track sets. My son put it on his Christmas list, lol.

Crocodile Creek makes some really cute jigsaw puzzles, if he's into that (or you find one with a theme that fits his interest) - I've been giving these for 4 & 5 year old birthdays recently:

I agree with the stop rocket!
We just went to a 6 year old boy birthday party and a 4 year old birthday party and Lego sets were the biggest hit/got the most excited response from the birthday kiddos and the other guests
