@Mrs.Panda: I'm a recovering lululemon addict. Now that home ownership is becoming more realistic and not an,abstract, "you want me to pay how much to buy in dc <insert curse words here>" I no longer can spend $300 there on my lunch break for workout pants and, hoodies much to dh dismay!!! Oh we will need a,hefty daycare bill for an lo someday too. That has slowed me down a bit lol. But I lurve them.

I have not tried the infamous jho position. I love the dh that asks for it by name. This new random calendar has estimated O day as CD 15 or Saturday. We will try it then in,case you all cared to know!

*Eta: all grammatical errors are the product of my phone, and not me not paying attention while getting my English degree for undergrad. Lmao!

@LindsayInNY: is it ok to get your yearly when you can possibly be pregnant? I don't know why it wouldn't be, but my yearly in this month and I'll be in the TWW then. Curious if I need to reschedule?

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I just asked this exact same question! Mine is at 9 DPO...

Man all these yearly visits coming up, and my obgyn told me at my last apt in 2012 no need to come back yearly anymore. Just every 3yrs for a pap. Is she just trying to get rid of me!?!

Eta I would totally still go even if it were in my tww and just tell them I'm ttc. Theyll know what to do.

@dc yoga bee: I kind of remember hearing you don't need paps yearly if they're normal. I had an abnormal pap once & go on yearly.

  10. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@dc yoga bee: That's a new insurance thing - they recently updated the standards for Paps, so they recommend fewer annuals. But it works for me!

I remember seeing somewhere that you are a Fed. Not sure what your plan is, but the BCBS plan will still cover an annual annual (ha) if you want it. It's also an AMAZING pregnancy/childbirth plan.

@dc yoga bee: My doctor told me the same thing! If your pap is normal, you only have to get it done every 3 years!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: @septca: I had my appointment and they didn't do anything different. I told her AF was due in a couple of days and I had been spotting, which she could see inside. If I remember correctly, the cycle before I Oed late and I was worried that AF would be there when I had my appointment. Since I Oed late, I was safe to keep the appointment. My doctor's office always takes urine but I don't know if they tested for pregnancy or not. I was 9DPO on the day of my appointment. Part of the other reason I kept the appointment was to get an idea of our "next step".

@mrsmcd: I really don't think I'll be testing tomorrow. I don't even have a test and I have a super busy evening which does not include stopping to buy one. SOOO, maybe Friday or Saturday. Unless y'all pressure me. LOL! (@mrs.panda)

I knew there was a reason I enjoyed this group so much. It's always refreshing to read posts without typos and random fragments! @dc yoga bee: Of course you're an English major! There must be several of us grammar police on this site

  14. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@LindsayInNY: According to a doctor friend, they ALWAYS test for HSG. No matter what you are there for, no matter what type of doctor you are seeing. If you are giving U, you are getting a preg test.

@septca: we are switching to that plan tonight! !! I need to call bc what if I get pregnant this month, and, civerage starts jan 1? Am I screwed, or is it no longer pre existing? Is it no longer pre existing for pregnancies after jan 1 2014? See that wpuld be a kicker! We went through allll 25 or so plans, and that one seems the best!

  16. Weagle

@septca: YES! The FEP Blue plan is amazing for pregnancy/childbirth. I will fight tooth and nail to keep that in my insurance plan.

  17. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@septca: That's what I figured. It might've been too early to show up on a test at 9DPO, plus it ended up a chemical. They never mentioned it though.

  18. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@dc yoga bee: Federal plans don't have pre-e cond clauses, so you are golden.

@dc yoga bee: @Weagle: I seriously cannot sing the praises of this plan enough. I LOVE it. DH and I each had the same single plan before DD and then switched to the same plan, family version when DD was born because we loved it so much.

  19. dc yoga bee

    grapefruit / 4770 posts

@septca: Let me pull out my booklet to make sure im signing us up for right one!!

Do you guys like the Standard or basic if you dont mind me asking. My book is at home, but i think we are doing basic. I was going to do care first bc no,deductible, but my mom pointed out bcbs doesnt have deductible! That was my number one priority. I no longer want a deductible grrr

  20. Weagle

    coconut / 8498 posts

@dc yoga bee: We have basic. It's awesome.

  21. dc yoga bee

    grapefruit / 4770 posts

I also apparently need an FSA so we are each going to contribute to that. I tend to be a bit lost with these things, but my coworkers were shocked I didnt have one. Its how you pay for copays duh! Um, ok lol

  22. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@dc yoga bee: Basic. I used to have the Standard, but switched when I realized my laparscopy was actually going to be *more* expensive on the Standard plan. The Standard is only worthwhile if you have special needs that require a specific out-of-network specialist. In DC, though, nearly every doctor and dentist I have encountered takes the Basic. You should double-check your Ob/Gyn though, unless you plan on switching. Speaking of, do you know which hospital they deliver at?

  23. Weagle

    coconut / 8498 posts

@dc yoga bee: We don't have a FSA. I paid one $25 co-pay for my pregnancy.

  24. dc yoga bee

    grapefruit / 4770 posts

@septca: So we just moved, here and I don't have a doctor here. I dont know, any hospitals either lol I told you im lost!!! I went to a baby shower and the lady said all the cool kids deliver at fairfax, and they have a great hospital. So i guess i wouod try to go there! I dont even know, how to enroll into the health insurance, now that i think about it... calling hr now!

  25. littlek

@dc yoga bee: I delivered at Fairfax! Where do you live? I love my Gyno but he's in Fairfax.

  26. littlek

I'll be delivering my next LO at Loudoun. It's part of INOVA. The NICU at Fairfax is amaze balls.

  27. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@dc yoga bee: FSA pays for a lot of things - copays, deductibles, prescriptions, contact lenses and/or glasses, solution for those (if you submit it), pregnancy and OPK tests...

  28. Weagle

    coconut / 8498 posts

@dc yoga bee: I would look at hospitals close to you. I delivered at Virginia Hospital Center. I'm sad I couldn't live there forever. They were awesome! My doctor is with Arlington Women's Center. Again, love them. Wish I could go back there for #2.

  29. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

I don't have an FSA either, and I really need to get one. Maybe that's what I'll do tonight.

@littlek: @dc yoga bee: I have heard great things about Fairfax!
@Weagle: I also love VHC. I had to go to the emergency room there once and it was SO nice and new and sparkling clean.

If you don't already have an OB, you might want to check into hospitals first and then find an OB that delivers at that hospital. I am in the city, so my options are a bit differrent, but I switched OBs because I didn't want to deliver at Sibley and that was the only place my ex-OB delivered.

  30. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@septca: are you in DC? I had no idea. I'm in Ashburn.

  31. dc yoga bee

    grapefruit / 4770 posts

I live in Alexandria so Fairfax, Arlington, anything NOVA related,Im cool with. Cant get ahold of HR... I am on the FSA site filling,it out. I need doc, recs in general for both me and the hubs. We also need a good dentist!! Where is VHC? It sounds like a quaint retreat lol

  32. Weagle

    coconut / 8498 posts

And depending on where you are in the city, a 'burb hospital may be easier. I lived on the Hill and VHC was the easiest for me. Thought tend to avoid NW and downtown most of the time for any kind of errand or chore.

  33. Weagle

@dc yoga bee: Arlington. Off of Glebe rd.

Cool.. We need a DC metro area bee meet up

  40. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@dc yoga bee: Yep! Doctor's related expenses are automatically reimbursed for my plan (copays, deductibles, etc.) but anything I pay for needs to be submitted. So I keep receipts for HPTs and OPKs and submit those!
