I love this thread... Mrs.Panda, you crack me up!
I love the fact that there are so many other women in here who can share my stress and worriyeach month about symptoms or lack there of, whether or not we did it on the right day and which day of the month I am suppose to pee on something! There arent many places where I can meet and laugh with people who are just as nuts as me!

@fotolori1: haha I am definitely nuts that's for sure. My coworkers think I'm a hoot but that's about as special as saying my mom thinks I'm cool.
I am symptom spotting like crazy! I always told myself that I wouldn't be that girl but lo and behold, here I am. Maybe I just need to let out a good fart. I'm only technically 4-5 DPO depending on how FF feels about my temps for the day!

@fotolori1: So true!
@Mrs.Panda: LOL!
I'm at CD 13, still no positive opk! Even though it's only cycle 2, if we aren't successful this month I plan to establish a new ob with my new insurance in January, I guess get an annual with this lady, and ask to confirm I am at least ovulating. No bc or pcos, and I have a regular 26-28 day cycle, so I don't understand what's going on...

BFN. Bah. Hoping AF will start so I don't waste any more tests at this point.

@hypersonic: im sorry. I hate nothing worse than that stupid ONE line on that test! Soooo disappointing!
@Mrs.Panda: I have been trying for about a year and I have thought I had symptoms EVERY SINGLE MONTH! I am so tired of it. Im sure when I am actually pregnant it will be the month I have NO symptoms......
@DC yoga bee: I have always had a normal 28-29 day cycle my whole life. I have a pos opk every 13th day of the month. Perfect cervical mucus and dh has a normal sperm count, and NOTHING. I started seeing a RE and on my laparoscopy, I was a big ole mess! I had scar tissue, endometriosis, a narrowed cervix, a cervical fistula, and a blocked tube. You never know what could be going on in there. I just hope that since all my issues were fixed it doesnt take long. I wish I had checked into all that before we tried for a year! Best of luck to you!

@Mrs.Panda: I gave up on symptom spotting.. The signs of pregnancy and AF are soooo similar

@littlek: I know but I can't help but have that little glimmer or hope every time my boob feels weird or when a hubble of gas moves. Torture.

@hypersonic09: Sorry!
@littlek: You changed your pic. Now I am going to get confused!

@fotolori1: Ahhh now I'm going to worry I have something terribly wrong with me
apricot / 386 posts
@DC Yoga Bee: im so sorry! I wasnt trying to freak you out! I feel terrible! I just meant that a "normal" cycle can be deceiving sometimes. All the things that were going on were completely fixable and nothing bad! I feel awful. Im so sorry.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@littlek: it is cute! I just get confused when people change their pics!

@fotolori1: No worries. I guess it just is best to get checked out. Soon!

I'm a day late on the Christmas movie convo, but I LOVE Christmas movies, so I wanted to chime in. All-time favorite is A Christmas Story. However, Christmas Vacation, Elf, Home Alone, White Christmas, Merry Christmas Charlie Brown, & A Muppet Christmas Carol are all must-see for me!
pomelo / 5720 posts
@dc yoga bee: I have 28-30 day cycles as well and I don't ovulate until day 16-18. I have a short LP but have managed to get pregnant twice. Maybe you ovulate later as well?
ETA: muppet Christmas carol and the Grinch (cartoon version) are my fav movies this time of year
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@bushelandapeck: I like the cartoon movie of the grinch.. Don't like Jim Carey version

I love all the cheesy made for tv Christmas movies that come out all of December. They are so sappy and cheesy, but I tend to pvr many of them to watch later.
I grew up watching the original Christmas carol, that was the only Christmas movie allowed on the tv....

@dc yoga bee: I think I would establish a doctor for normal appointments but he/she may not run any tests this early, unless you have a real reason for them. Truthfully, TTC stress may be throwing your cycles off. CD13 isn't unusual to O, even with 28ish day cycles. (Basically what @bushelandapeck: said!)

If I am MIA today and tomorrow it's because I work overnight the next two nights and am nocturnal! So I will be popping in in the evenings/middle of the night like the vampire bat I am. I still love you all! And I tested today because evidently I've had a psychotic break and 4DPO is OBVIOUSLY enough time to get a BFP. I also love wasting money. I am a menace.

@dc yoga bee: I'm sure your lady bits are fine, it's a journey to get pregnant! When I was in nursing school we had to watch this video on conception and just how hard it really is to get pregnant and I am so shocked that we haven't died off as a species. All the sad, stupid sperm swimming into vaginal walls and getting caught in hostile CM, and swimming in circles, BAH!

Nope, I did not test. My husband stumbled down the hall this morning (I get up and am out the door before he is up) and before I could say good morning, he said "did you pee". I had to laugh at him, standing there in his underwear, half asleep. I said nope, I am protesting and sick of seeing negative. He then turned and went back to bed.

@organicmama: Spotting before your period is not a good sign (it is usually indicative of a problem - although usually an easily fixed problem - because your period should start all at once). So no spotting this cycle is great!!!
bananas / 9229 posts
@septca: I don't think spotting before AF is necessarily a sign of a problem. A day or two is one thing but spotting 5 days or something is another... I was spotting pre-AF and at my annual exam, my doctor didn't seem concerned about it. It wasn't until I pushed a bit more and mentioned the length of my LP that she prescribed progesterone.

@littlek: I'm probably not going to test this month so you can move me to cheerleader. I went to the OB on ties bcs I was/am still spotting a month out from my MC. No sign of AF either so I don't think it will be an option for us this month. To be honest, I'm pretty nervous now to think about trying again. I'm worried I won't get pregnant, or that if I do, it will end in MC again. We haven't even BD in over a month bcs of the spotting and I'm nervous about that too! Sheesh.

Thanks, ladies! I don't feel completely out yet, but we will see. I have a physical on Monday so I figure if nothing shows up there then I'm really out - assuming AF doesn't show first.
Good luck to everyone else! I wish I had more advice for some of you ladies, but we got pg on our first shot for LO#1 with no extra tools and I have never had any irregularity issues or been on birth control.

I'm sorry. I didn't test this morning. I just wasn't ready! BUT I am prepared today with white undies and will be investigating every couple of hours as I go to the potty If nothing shows, I will test in the morning.
Funny story... My sweet hubs came home night before last and had bought me a box of tampons. I know his intentions were nothing but sweet because he said "You know, cuz sometimes you freak out when you can't find any"... So I graciously thanked him and didn't say anything. Until last night when he said "You should have started by now. So maybe something's up??" And I had to point out, well maybe if you would have brought home a pregnancy test instead of tampons, we would know more!! LOL Love that boy

@hypersonic09: I'm sorry about the BFN. And isn't it crazy how our bodies change from one TTC to another??

@lindsayinny @septca: My OBGYN wrote me an order for bloodwork to check my hormone levels at CD 21. I didn't go get the bloodwork this month as it was the week of Thanksgiving. But I think I will do that next month if I am not pg. I'd say I have the pre-AF spotting once every 3-4 cycles. I'm wondering if I don't also need to take progesterone. We shall see!

@organicmama: oh my gosh, that is the sweetest thing ever. Maybe he'll bring you home a test today
bananas / 9229 posts
@organicmama: I was spotting every single cycle pre-AF once I went off BC. Even the cycle of my BFP/chemical! Truthfully, my doctor didn't seem over the top concerned when I told her that either. Who knows!
