Since I know y'all will hunt me down if I don't update I tested with a wondfo this morning, but nothing. Today is the test date FF gave me, even though it is only 11DPO and CD29. However on clomid I've been having 27-29 day cycles and only 9-12 day LPs, so I guess that makes sense why FF would say go ahead and test on expected AF date. Also, I've been on a really low dose of progesterone this cycle, 50mg, when most people I see seem to take 200mg. My RE said that it would hopefully give me an extra couple days in my LP, and I don't need to stop taking it at a certain time, I'll still get AF at this dose. I really thought AF would be rearing her ugly head by now though, and was convinced the progesterone wasn't working because I had a lot of period-like cramps on CD9, which almost always indicate she's a day or two away.
It's probably just the progesterone messing with my system, but I also had a slightly higher temp this morning too. Usually by now I'd be steadily getting lower temps http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/mrssprite
So even though I don't really have much hope this cycle (first seeing an RE, and we're moving on to IUI in January because nothing else is working), I suppose I'm not out until I'm out. Maybe if I don't get AF by Sunday I'll waste a FRER, since it will be 14DPO. That would be my longest LP ever!

@LindsayInNY: and @organicmama: I am going to disagree. Every doctor I have seen was concerned about my pre-AF spotting, which only happened after I went off BCP. They each said that "normal" reproductive system function creates a drastic drop in hormones which in turn starts AF each cycle. That hormone drop should lead to a full-force AF at CD1 with no spotting in the lead-in. Spotting before AF can be a symtom of *many* things, most of which are no big deal and/or can be easily "fixed" with hormones. My spotting was an indicator of a larger problem, but that is really rare. Also, because most women who experience pre-AF spotting are just experiencing *slightly* off-kilter hormone levels, it is completely possible to get KU and to carry a baby to term even if you spot before AF.
All of this is to say: I ignored my pre-AF spotting for a really long time because I thought it was normal. Once I started having other symptoms of my disorder, however, every doctor I saw also mentioned my pre-AF spotting as part of the same disorder. I really wish I had asked more questions/pushed for testing earlier.

Hey ladies...so sorry I have been MIA. I was starting to get really down about another late ovulation month but I got my positive OPK today (CD19 ugh) so I wanted to ask to have my POAS date updated to December 20th.

So, no testers... how about another question...
What is your beverage of choice during the holidays? Alcholic/Non Alcoholic
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
I'm going to say my favorite beverage is champagne around the holidays.. especially rose... yum
cherry / 235 posts
@littlek: Hopefully this year it will be non-alcholic (as much as is pains me to think of Christmas without mulled cider) but normally I would say mulled cider or a nice glass of red wine.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@littlek: Um, yes - you took the words right out of my mouth. I try to drink as much champagne as possible around the holidays. My mom always has the good stuff, too.
Do you have a Total Wine around you? They carry a Louis Billot Cremant rose that is AMAZING and only about $16. That is what DH and I served at our wedding (we got married in CA and had a bunch of wine snobs, so we wanted something total unrecognizable that would impress - it was perfect).

Ok Bees, I need your help! I am 10 DPO and I tested (early I know!) with a Wondfo this morning since I have been feeling a bit off in the tummy the past few days (ever so slightly nauseated in periodic waves), despite my spotting on DPO 6-9 getting me discouraged.
This is only our second month TTC so I haven't seen too many pg tests yet. But I think I maybe see a line on this Wondfo... What do you think? I have a FRER but was saving it for tomorrow. But I still have my FMU in a cup and wondering if you think I should go ahead and test it with the FRER given that Wondfo?
I am having trouble even keying this in on my phone I am shaking so much...can't wrap my head around this!

Ok so turns out I have *two* FRERs left so I went ahead and tested with one...and it's a super-squinter but I do see the *faintest* line. I'm saving the other for Saturday to see if it gets darker.
I also happen to have my annual physical tomorrow AM with a new GP--I suppose I could ask them to test tomorrow? Kind of weird though, "Hi, I'm your new patient and I POAS yesterday at 10 DPO and think I might be pregnant--can you check?"
This is so crazy!!!

@stratosphere: Congrats?!?! that is what my test looked like the other day. I had a shadow. I didnt re-test yesterday or today. AF is due today or tomorrow, so waiting till tomorrow if nothing today. DH brought me home a present yesterday- a digital. I think his crazy train is faster then mine!!
I have said it before but I love this thread. I am seriously addicted. I teach grade 2 and they were busy working, and I was walking around with my ipad, on HB, talking to them at the same time!! Now I am sitting in my dark classroom at lunch time!!

@kodybear: YAHOO...congrats! Happy Happy!
@stratosphere: I feel like I may see a super squinter on the Wondofo but I don't see anything on the FRER. I would wait until Saturday and test again with a FRER. *fingers crossed*

@kodybear: congrats lady!!!
@stratosphere: I can definitely see a line on the wondfo, but it's hard to see on the FRER, maybe just bad lighting in the photo. But it should be no problem for your new doctor to test for pregnancy. FX!!

@littlek: I just want to say how great you are at hosting this post. Always keeping things moving with fun questions!
My favorite drink this time of year is....well, I'm a lush, so anything with booze in it! I've been on a moscato wine kick lately, so that is probably what I'll be drinking through the holidays. And into pregnancy, if I ever get knocked up, since they have an alcohol-removed version. http://www.frewines.com/fre-info/our-process

I have been catching up on everyone's posts but sitting back with my own posts.
I posted on the November blog but with 39 day cycles I am always right between them both.
Estimated O Date: November 23
POAS/AF date: December 10
Cycle:#4
Chart: Almost ready to share(Just started it so I'm still learning)
Trying new this cycle: still using an OPK, started a chart on FF, also read the SMEP and tried to follow it
DH went in for a SA yesterday as he has Varicocele. We wanted to get tested early to see if he will need surgery. Fingers crossed everything will be normal.

Yes, the line on the FRER is def faint but more visible IRL than in the pic. All I can do now is wait til my doctor's appointment tomorrow--and I will use my other FRER on Sat and keep you guys posted. Not telling my husband until I have something more definitive and 10 DPO is very early.
In the meantime I take comfort in the fact that my very uncharacteristic vague sense of nausea is unabated.

I just had 3 of my students come up to me separately and ask me why dont I have a baby? Why dont I want kids? and When am I going to have a baby.
As a teacher, they ask all the time, but this time stung. This is the first time this year my kids have asked, I couldn`t come up with a response except for, not yet. Maybe another day.
(meanwhile my head is going crazy with answers like **** I want one!!! If only my uterus would tell me what was going on!!!)
end vent.

@MrsScottish: I get this often too...still. Even since I had Norah. Apparently kids think you need like ten. I try to tell myself they don't know any better but it has always bothered me and continues to. Hope your day gets better and tell those little people to get back to work and leave you alone
