@MrsMcD: I have a cough, too! Maybe I've got a touch of eveything, I wouldn't doubt it. I admitted 3 patients with the flu and do you think the ER transporter but a mask on them? NOOO. Oh well. I will wear a mask and have DH smear Vicks Vaporub all sexy like over my chest while I incessantly pop my ears. idontevencare.

Oh girls.... TTC has just stressed me out too much. I've obsessed over it for seven months and now I'm over it. DH leased me a horse for a few months as a Christmas present so I'm just going to focus on that. I will still try a bit. But I'm just whatevs about it now. Anyone else feeling this way?

@MrsMcD: a horse!! That's awesome! I'm taking a break too. No horse though

@MrsMcD: i've kind of taken a break this month but can't face doing it for longer, want that little baby too much am trying to persuade DH on another dog though (that's going about as well as the ttcing) hahaha

@MrsMcD: big hugs. I felt that way this month. I didn't want to admit it because I felt guilty taking a break, but ultimately, I reached my breaking point. I told my husband that if December wasn't our month, I needed a break to focus on myself (health, happiness and anxiety)

I don't have advice or a remedy to offer. I just let myself feel sad for a day, then told myself it will be okay. There was a lot of ice cream in there, too..

    Hugs.

@MrsMcD: I feel you. I'm so beyond "meh" about ttc. We're not "taking a break," but we aren't trying as hard, that's for sure! You're not alone!

@MrsMccarthy: I'm ready for the January board too!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: good for your mental health to take a break! Are you finding other things to focus on?

@MrsMcD: I'm kind of over it too, I'm sick of feeling sad and discouraged. TTC is so hard.

@Crystal: I didn't actively look for something to focus on, and technically, we didn't take a break either. I just decided this month (right before O) that I wouldn't obsess over TTC. I even let myself enjoy some hot chocolate with Godiva liqueur! I tried to relax, not obsess, or get carried away with what-ifs. I told myself I don't have time for that!

... And then I got pregnant this month. Could it be true?! Does "just relax" actually work?!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I really do wonder how much stress can mess with our bodies. If I almost want it *too* much and am stressing myself out about it not happening and it's a self fulfilling prophecy.

I think the fool proof method is to relax, go on vacation, drink, decline maternity insurance coverage, and plan a big activity exactly 9 months from today.

@Crystal: bahahaha so true.. Our open enrollment ended December 5, and we stuck with the expensive plan with IF coverage.. And then I get knocked up.

But honestly, I had a fuck it attitude this month. I wouldn't say I was completely, 100% relaxed, but the holidays sure did distract me!

@littlek: Are there any more ladies POAS this month? Should I go ahead and open up the January POAS thread? It seems some of these ladies are ready to get started!

@littlek: owning a horse is my ultimate dream. Leasing a horse is the best option at this point for me. It's certainly a great distraction from TTC!

@Snowdrop: it feels weird that I can imagine taking a break for several months. I want a baby, but am also never going to feel ready for the way a baby will change my life. Even though I know it will be great, I love my current status quo!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I think you and I could be great friends! Health, happiness and anxiety are always a focus of mine. And oh my gosh, ice cream..... I want it all the time.

@doxielove: I think that's the boat I'm in. Not really a break. I mean really.... No birth control and having sex is definitely not a break. But I'm just not going to force sex on DH (gees that sounds bad) during a time he isn't too I interested or during a time I'm not interested.

    @Crystal: I hear ya, sister!

Well, I'm out for this month. Started bleeding this afternoon....3DPO Second month in a row of 3 day luteal phases.
I'm not sure if it's better to try to correct this, or just wait it out (probably until LO weans...which might be forever knowing him). Ugh, so disappointed.

@LittleK: The last couple of months it's been right around 28-30 days. But I haven't been ovulating until around CD25-27, which is the problem
