@Keppa: good luck doll!! We both ovulated on the same day this month. I only dtd on O-4 though so I think I am out (we were NTNP). I hope you have a nice long luteal phase with a sticky baby at the end of it!

@Torchwood: I have a sapphire in my engagement ring. It's always been my favorite gem stone. I'm a Gemini but its crazy to have a baby who shares the stone as well.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: congrats on the darkening lines!!

I think I'm out - BFN today. I know it's not over till it's over but I'm not feeling good about it. I'm on progesterone so not likely to spot but debating when to stop it. I don't want to delay CD1 any more than I have to.

I'm trying not to think about it too much. Pretty disappointed after being aggressive this cycle with the awful antibiotics in November and then the medicated IUI. But trying to think about moving on - ordered my Clomid refill online (let's hope my CD3 looks good so I can do another cycle . . . ). And silver linings . . . champagne this week, and time to get off the Christmas pounds. I usually give myself a one-day BFN food hug but I'm so ready to clean up my eating that I think I'll have the willpower to avoid it!

Going to take a mental break from the boards but I'm sure I'll be back on the January board once my cycle gets going. Happy New Year ladies!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Yea! How soon do you get beta's back? My lab said 2 hours but my OB office made me feel crazy for calling so soon.

@T.H.O.U.: my REs office calls same day, they have an in-house lab. Depends how busy they are but I should know very soon.

@bhbee: I'm with ya on the progesterone... I test after taking it for 10 days or so, basically late enough that a BFP would be obvious at that point. I never want to be too optimistic or otherwise but I know AF won't start until I stop the progesterone either.

@bhbee: What kind of progesterone do you take? Are you seeing an RE? I ask because I take the vaginal suppositories -- they're waxy and look like bullets -- and my instructions were to take them until I get a period. Is there someone you can ask what you should be doing?

@bhbee: Mine might vary from @Mrs. Jump Rope: but my progesterone look like jelly beans (yum). I've noticed that people vary in how they use them. I take a set number of days and then stop to start my period.

    Does my body hate me!?

So my beta today was 159. It was 52 on Monday. That's a doubling rate of 2.5 days. Another way to look at it is that it increased 1.5 times instead of the typical 2 times. My RE's office said that is within the range they'd expect, and I am happy that my hCG is increasing but why can't it just completely double like a normal pregnancy?!

I go back on Monday for yet another blood draw. I honestly think I might go crazy...

And congratulations to the new BFP's! I really do have my fingers crossed for all of you!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Congrats!! Very excited for you!

@jmarionsmith: There's no strict rule about 48 hours/2 days...they really are looking for a range of 48-72 hours in the beginning. My doubling times for this pregnancy were all over the place. As long as you're in that range you're good! Yeah for doubling!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: proof frers will pick up anything, getting something the day before a 14 beta! Fx for doubling on Sunday!

Hello Everyone! I just joined today and would love to get to know you all- so I guess the best way is just to jump in?

@Mrs. Jump Rope- I can absolutely see that line. No squinting necessary! I had to google "betas." I'm new at this. I read an article that said just women with infertility issues do betas. Is that true?

@BHBEE- What a bummer. Sorry that today feels lousy. I hope that tomorrow feels brighter. As you mentioned, you are most definitely not out of the game yet!

@jmarionsmith: Yes, definitely, my first one was in the 50s and the next one dropped and then it went back up after that. They kept telling me it really doesn't matter and after a while it's supposed to get even slower so I had to stop worrying about it.

Thanks, @FAITHFERTILITY! I love your screen name. When I get acupuncture, I always ask for a treatment that focuses on peace, faith, and fertility. What a wonderful reminder.

Are there any threads on here that show what cycles people are on and maybe a little fun information about everyone, or testing plans?

@Snowdrop- I actually started testing this morning. I'm only 9dpo and I feel like it is really early. (Have you seen this site? http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=9)
But for the last THREE nights I have dreamed of testing and getting a BFP. Verdict? BFN. LOL. Oh well. It's fun.

    When are you testing next?

@LittleK- Thanks for the warm welcome! I think this seems like a very nice and supportive community!!

As for me, I found the questions Snowdrop pointed me to:

    Estimated O Date: December 18th
POAS/AF date: AF is expected on January 2nd
Cycle: 1. Can you believe it? Fresh meat! Everything is so exciting, new and scary! Do you think we will have more newbies in January? Maybe TTC will be a lot of people's resolutions?
Chart: The husband and I are trying test and chart free for a few months.

Trying new this cycle:Well- it's the first cycle, but I started a primrose oil/flax seed oil mix this cycle. So now I don't know if I'm having phantom pregnancy symptoms or if my progesterone is just up from the primrose. Ho. Hum. My estrogen is low- so maybe I will just find a flax seed oil by itself next cycle.

What do you want for the holidays besides a BFP: Hm. I haven't thought about it. I ended up getting a carpet cleaner from the husband. LOL. Useful. Especially when we have future children. Not terribly romantic though.
