thank you everyone.
i hate to be a debbie downer on christmas eve but, against the advice of my dr, i took another test this morning and it is definitely lighter. i know some people say it doesn't matter, that some tests have different amounts of dye, but realistically i think it means my hcg levels are dropping.
i'll find out for sure on friday but right now i'm trying to accept that it probably won't be good news.
thanks again for all the well wishes.

@littlek: hey lady! No update here. Since my negative at 10 dpo I haven't tested again. No AF yet at 14dpo. But I'm not excited because I once had a 15 day LP. No tests. Just waiting.

It's been a crazy couple weeks with my cycle and body, so I decided to test even though I've been having some minimal bleeding... I am in shock!

@swurlygurl: Congratulations!
Still getting a very faint line, close to the 10 minute window. It's very, very faint, and there's no way I could take a picture, but it's there. At this point I think I could hand it to someone else and they'd at least point to the right place and ask if that's what I'm talking about. Also, sometimes in the past when I was trying to convince myself I saw a line, I'd stare at the wrong place and think I saw one, only to realize I was looking at the wrong place, so clearly I was deluding myself. This time if I look in the wrong place, my eyes are drawn back the the faint line in the right place. Still no willing to make any official declarations, but I'm feeling pretty good.
The one bad thing with it being this week is how difficult getting into the doctor will be. We're leaving town tomorrow and will be gone till Sunday, so the earliest I can get in for blood testing is next week. And I would assume they'll be close for New Years as well? Oy. Oh well, at least that gives me time to be sure I get a more definite positive before calling.

So hopeful/excited that I want to test every time I pee. Which I do have enough tests for, but is overall a really bad idea since unless I risk dehydration I won't have concentrated enough pee to do anything but upset myself. So I did the obvious thing and took an opk. And it was markedly darker than the last one I took last week. An opk can't tell the difference between lh and hcg, so unless my body had decided to ovulate again, 4 days before AF is due, I'd say that's a good sign.

@Torchwood: yea!!!! I wasn't sure about ovulation so I used an opk and when it came out super dark I knew something was up!

@swurlygurl: AHHHH OMG merry Xmas!!!! Sticky little baby glue sent to you.
Got a nice little egg here on my monitor. We dtd on Saturday so the spermies would really have I hang on (my parents are staying with us tonight and tomorrow and our son is sleeping in our bed so we won't be BD anymore this cycle). I am sure we won't a BFP this cycle but I am happy to ovulate on CD 18 or so instead of CD 21. Maybe the B complex is working.
Merry Xmas even everyone!

@Torchwood: can you go to lab corp for blood work? They have locations everywhere.
pomelo / 5607 posts
@littlek: Ooh, that's a good point. If I get the paperwork from the doctor I don't have to take it to the local lab.

Has anyone ever noticed that sometimes it seems like getting some sort of "official" confirmation seems to give your body a boost, like it's got permission to move on? With my second m/c, the day I got the results confirming it wasn't a viable pregnancy (numbers rising too slowly), I started spotting. Now when I've had some at least tentatively positive hpt's, suddenly my boobs are killing me. They were just mildly achy yesterday. I also woke up in the middle of the night last night (after having the first maybe positive) so hungry I almost had to get up and get some food (I would have if we'd had anything convenient to eat). Hunger has always been my main pregnancy symptom. It makes me worry it's all in my head, but it also makes sense that if the hormones are reaching the point I can test positive, they're also reaching the point they start having more effect on my body, right?

@Torchwood: I completely agree. It's almost as bad as the TWW symptom spotting!

@swurlygurl: yay! Congrats!

@MrsMcD: fingers crossed for you. When will you test again?
@Torchwood: Eeek! What dpo are you? I hope you get an nice dark line soon.

@Crystal: It is!
@Kate6214: 10dpo today. Which is when I got a positive on a digi last time, but based on lines I'm thinking this month is running 12-24 hours behind that time. So I'm hoping for something more definite by tomorrow, and some reasonably dark lines soon after!

@Torchwood: Glad you're feeling good about your BFPs! I'll be checking Christmas morning for any updates!

@Torchwood: FX for you!!
BFN for me this morning, but with the excitement of Christmas morning, I'm not too bummed! No AF just yet, but will wait a while to retest. She's not very predictable so far (this is my 3rd cycle off BC). Good luck to the other testers today, and Merry Christmas everyone!!

Tests were definitely darker today! Still lighter than my crappy camera phone can pick up, but if I had a better camera it would show up! I'm calling it a positive! Yay Christmas bfp!
