with DH and R makes this Monday morning super hard.
DH got on a plane like normal. Then R cried when I was leaving her at day care. Which is new to me still (this is the 2nd week at the new place)
Anyone else having a hard working parent Monday?

Aww I'm sorry. I was on my own with D for a lot of the weekend and so I wasn't too sad to drop her off this morning (plus she was happy to go).

Yes, very. I'm working out of our offices for 3-4 weeks, which makes my commute time an hour each way, rather than 15 min. C woke up so happy and snuggly this morning, and DH is off today so they get to hang out all day. I HATE working on DH's days off
I wish we had the same days more often.

I always feel like this on Mondays. The weekends are so great, and work is so... not.

@Smurfette: ugh. I feel you. We had a great weekend, as well. I'll be honest, though. We were on the go all weekend long. Sitting at my desk feels nice right now. I'm sure R is just having a tough day. She will be all smiles to see you later, and so will you!
Also, M went through little spurts where she would be unhappy to see me go. Today she wanted me to hold her as soon as we got to her room. Her normal teachers weren't there and I think it just felt off for her. Plus, she had to say goodbye to her grandparents this weekend after a great weekend with them. It ebbs and flows.

@Smurfette: I'm kind of having the opposite. Both Hubs and Xander were sick over the weekend, so it was kind of a relief to come into work today! Gahhh, bad mom!
Sorry today is particularly rough for you. I have to imagine that Mondays in general are even HARDER on you because your husband travels during the week.

@mediagirl: I am sure she was fine a minute after I left. I think part of the problem is that she isn't dropped off with the same person each day. The teacher was late, so I had to leave her with the director. I need to talk to the director cause 4 of 6 mornings so far the teacher hasn't been there.

@Adira: Oh my goodness, same for me. L was in rough shape this weekend and it was an exhausting couple of days. I felt a little relief when I was able to drop her off and be able to have a quiet work day!! (so much shame!)
@Smurfette: I hate (well, love, but you know) weekends like that
It makes it sooo difficult to even want to be at work

It was pouring during dropoff so I got soaked to the bone! Our son's pre-K closed their doors early though, so we were locked out. I stood there in the rain and realized I was coming down with a bad case of the Mondays.

Fun weekend but now I have an eye infection and don't feel like working.

Second week at our new house, new jobs and new school. I pretty much hate everything about it. Ugh. I need a new life.

@Adira: @Amelieisme: Thanks! It does make it even harder knowing I don't get to see DH till late Thursday. I asked him last night, shouldn't it get easier not harder? We both are having a really hard with it lately.
@mrbee: oh no!! How did you get in? DH texted me this morning and said it was a mess there. Wished it was here to water our new sod!

@Smurfette: I was going to go around to the front of the school, where you have to get a visitors pass from the principal and then go around to the classroom.
But then another parent showed up and started banging on the door and the window of the classroom, and the teacher had to come out to let us in!

It's a hard monday for me too. We had a great weekend and my LO was so sad to leave me this morning. She just wanted to play horsies with me and we had to rush her out the door :(((((

@Smurfette: me too! DH also left for the week this am and I have a crazy work week ahead and our wedding anniversary is tomorrow. I'm just sad.
I wish we had the same days more often.
