Okay ladies. I found a way to distract yourself from TTC/waiting to POAS. Cook pancetta, set off the fire alarm in your apartment and stand outside in the snow for an hour while you wait for someone from maintenance to come and turn it off!

I'm new to OPKs but these are my tests CD 9, 10, & 11. Do they look like they're getting darker? Still 4 days till my projected ovulation day. I'm getting nervous Ive not been ovulating since I'm still BFing
apricot / 375 posts
@SunnyFarmMama: They definitely look like they're getting darker. Mine look like that, then very quickly get exponentially darker until they are positive!

@Berly: @mrs scrapbook: @mrs.gm: thanks ladies I'm hoping this means I may actually ovulate and get a BFP! Now I have another question, I have two apps that I'm tracking this cycle with and they have two different ovulation days predicted. I know Drs say to BD EOD but how do I go about it if the days predicted are Sunday & Monday?
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@SunnyFarmMama: just make sure you BD EOD and it shouldn't matter what day you ovulate on... Either you will hit O-4, O-2, and O day... or O-5, O-3, O-1...
Otherwise you can follow SMEP and BD every other day until a positive OPK, then everyday for 3 days. That way you should have your bases covered!

I caved and tested early at 10dpo. BFN. I'm trying not to be upset, but I did what I said I wouldn't and symptom spotted.
My boobs, like the sides and bottoms, are hurting a lot, starting 7dpo (not normal for me - usually I have nipple soreness with O that goes away by 4 or 5dpo) and DH even mentioned that they looked bigger last night. And they feel bigger/heavier.
Plus, I was full on falling asleep during my favorite Christmas movie at 4pm yesterday. Literally couldn't keep my eyes open at all. Despite the fact that I had slept well and literally did nothing all day long.
So I kind of had my hopes up
I know I'm not out yet by any means. I'm just bummed.
But on the bright side, I have my first day of subbing and tutoring today! Yay for being back to work!!!

@SunnyFarmMama: Hi! I'm still breastfeeding too. Can I ask how many cycles you've had back? I'm on 7 and it's looking like I'm going to be negative for this go round. I didn't chart, but based on CM/other signs I really felt confident I ovulated. Have your cycles been pretty regular since returning?
apricot / 375 posts
@SunnyFarmMama: I agree with everything QBBride said! Personally, we do something like the SMEP...EOD until I get a positive OPK, then every day until the temp spike. My two apps always have me 1 day apart for O too. FF is first, then Kindara the next day.
grape / 84 posts
@mrs scrapbook: I'm glad I'm not the only one with two apps giving me different O dates (a day apart). I think our BD timing was fine either way (I hope!). Sorry about your BFN. FX it was just too early and you'll get a BFP if you retest in a couple of days.

@FairSeas: I've had AF back since about 8 months PP. So for going on 5 cycles now. I've been semi regular. The past three have been about the same. 25-26 day cycles with 3-4 day periods. I'm hoping we get it this cycle. It's hard to deal with BFNs when we got KU with DS on our first try.

@SunnyFarmMama: first try for baby #1 for us too. SO grateful for that, but it's making this hard to swallow. I've had my period back since about 13 months (he's 19 months now). it's varied, but mostly 28or 31 days with a 32 and 37 thrown in there for good measure. GL to you!! I'm out for this month. This is either my period or some heavy spotting.

Just looked and maybe I didn't see it, is there a Jan POAS thread? Ready to rollover to next month.
apricot / 375 posts
@mrs.gm: I try not to worry about it being a day apart - usually if the timing is good for one day it's probably good for the next too! Especially if you are doing eod.
I'm trying to be hopeful that I just tested too early, but not get my hopes up. You know? I don't want to be extra disappointed!
apricot / 375 posts
@FairSeas: and it just dawned on me why you are looking. I'm sorry - I hope the new year brings your BFP!
apricot / 315 posts
@FairSeas: I don't think one has been started yet. I was going to start one as soon as I confirmed my O date, because I think it will be too early on Dec. 31. You could start one if you wanted or I can do it right after I update this one today!
grape / 84 posts
@mrs scrapbook: I hear ya! I'm scared to test early for exactly that reason. FF is telling me to wait until 12/23 based on how long my cycle usually is, but AF may come earlier since I O'd earlier than expected. We'll see!

FWIW for those waiting, I took a (blue dye) early test on Monday and nada. Then STRONG BFP Thurs (pink dye). I think perhaps I would have had a faint line Monday if I did pink but maybe not. Also I have been sooo tired. But I thought it was bc I have a bad cold.
@mrs scrapbook: lookin at you with this story!

@Chaosmaven: I would, but we'll be on vacation from 1/1 to 1/15 though and I fear my ability to update will suffer. Trying to think of a catchy name though...hmmm. New Year, New You? New Year, New Cycle? Am terrible at this!

@mrscobee: @autumnlove: @mrs scrapbook: @pinkcrayon: @abmamma: @mrs.gm: @Chaosmaven: Thank you all for your kind words.
We see the fertility specialist on 12/17 (next Weds), so we'll see what they have to say. Mom made it through her surgery pretty well (more complications than expected, but she's hanging in there!). Now I just need C to kick his croup. What a week!
@FairSeas: @mrscobee: @Imabee: @MrsDoo: welcome and to you all!
@hilsy85: I'm so sorry about AF, but hopefully this next cycle will be a sticky one!
@kjpugs: Hooray!! Congrats! And she's an adorable big sis!!

@FairSeas: Don't worry, I created one! Updating this board has been surprisingly therapeutic for me during this cycle… it helps me to stay connected to all of you and not wallow in self-pity over how much longer and more complicated TTC #2 has been.
I cheated and copied the title of last year's January board - A Year of New Beginnings and BFPS! If anyone has a better title, please let me know… I'm not very creative

Alright, symptom spotters, here's another confounding one to overanalyze...
Usually, immediately after O, my nipples are CRAZY sore and stay that way until a few days before AF. This cycle, they were only a little sore (not nearly as much as usual), and today, at 5dpo, the soreness is almost gone. WTF?!
Has anyone experienced this and did it end in a BFP or BFN?
For what it's worth, I also ovulated a few days later than normal this time, and have noticed a little different CM pattern than usual as well.

Wishing BFPs for everyone who is still testing this month!
@kjpugs - congrats and I love her shirt. Did you have one ready? I know I do
I think I ready to roll over this month. I had a lot of spotting earlier this week and then a BFN yesterday. I might take another test in another few days just to be sure but am not counting on it.
@Chaosmaven - thanks for creating a new thread for Jan. I will join!

I'm 10 DPO and have tested with a wondfo. Bfn. I'm guessing it's too early to test with that kind? I'm going to try to hold out until Sunday to test with a first response. No major symptoms, but do have cotton mouth every once in awhile. Still crossing my fingers! to those testing soon!
