Haha is that real? It's definitely true at my house. My LO just started whining when I walked into the playroom and my husband said "can you go back to being happy and laughing like you were one minute ago?" It's the same with our babysitter. If I walk in on lunch all appropriate utensil skills are abandoned and it becomes a weapon / projectile object.

@charlotte: hahaha I'm not sure! It sounds a bit satirical to me, but I was reading and nodding like yep, yep, yep that's so true!

@Applesandbananas: I read this on the Honest Toddler website (which if you don't follow, you should - it's hilarious) and was cracking up yesterday. The comments are the best too
And yes, it's true for my LO. I can be in the next room and hear him laughing and having a good time and walk in the room and he can become a whiny mess. I told DH it's because I must signify food/I'm hungry in his mind all the time, from birth to now, haha.

It didn't seem to be a real study, right? But this is so true! Argh! I am so sick of my husband saying I am spoiling my son because every time I am in the room he becomes a whiny tantrum-throwing brat, but when I was away for a few days one time, husband claimed he was such an angel child. Argh!!!!!!
And the other night I told my son I love him so so much and he replied but you are always always always mad at me (I raised my voice a lot, because he listens to me maybe 10% of the time. Things as simple as can you put on your pants and wash your hands after using the potty). I felt bad at the spot, but I cracked up when the article said most mothers had to raise their voice as if they got attacked by a wild animal hahahahhaa. I am glad I guess at least I am not the only one.

I didn't read the article but my son is definitely the worst for me. Good at school good for grandparents and friends and aunts etc. even better for daddy than for me.
