I want to say I love all mothers out there. Happy Mother's Day to all the mom and mom-to-be out there!
Whether good or bad mother, I still love you because you bring me to this world. This lifetime I'm unfortunate because I don't have a loving mother. All my life and still is subconsciously, I yearn for a loving mother; a mother that I know I don't have and never had.
I know there are good mother out there, there mother who sacrifice their everything for their children. I love you, your chidlren is very lucky to have you. I admire you!
I wish my next life when reincarnation, I will have a loving mother like you.
I do not have good relationship with my mom at all, but I do love my dad. I'm going to come back home to visit my father this weekend, to stay and eat a meal with him. While hearing my mom lecture me and insulting me like a dog.
Which is fine, I'm numb to her insulting words. It won't be long stay, as soon I finished eat with my dad, I will leave.
If it weren't for my old father, no way I have the strength to come back home to visit.
Having a bad mother in your childhood, does effect you alot subconsciously/emotionally, and it linger to your adulthood.
I have a thread regarding to I still struggle, and have internal conflicts inside myself. If anyone else have a bad mother in their childhood, can you share how do you cope with it, how did you overcome it to live an emotional healthy life?
Does your childhood experienced have any effects on your marraige, or when you became a 'mommy'?

I feel for them If there's any ray of sunshine in having someone toxic in your family, it's how much more effort you put later into having love in your own home.

A toast to this for my dad. I know cutting off his mom was one of the hardest things he has ever done, but he did it anyways to protect me. And though I wish it had happened sooner than it did, I am very grateful for that.

I hope one day my husband reaches this point. I also wish he could see how negatively his mom impacts him and our family. One day!

Preach. For years Mother's Day was one of my most dreaded day of the year (second only to my mother's birthday).
