My 5 yo and 2 yo's daycare is closed all next week for summer vacation. My oldest starts elementary the following Monday and the younger one goes back to daycare.
What would you do at for a week at home (staycation) with your LOs? The weather is supposed to be nice and summery. Some activities in our city: zoo, children's museum, technical museum, a few splash pads and kiddie pools (but I don't think I'm brave enough to do kiddie pools alone with the two of them). Maybe some playdates.
What else would you do? Or what kind of at home activities can you suggest? I'm not super crafty, but I can make an effort.
I bought in loads of stickers - E loves stickers. She also loves painting so I have gotten the paints out a few times.. I bought some new jigsaws to do as well. We have made a cake, done some digging in the garden and watched a lot of TV. I'm palming the baby off on my inlaws for a couple of hours today so I can take E swimming. Our activities are limited when the baby is with us, but DH is taking a few days off in September and so we can E tobogganing at the indoor snowdome. She really wants to try ice skating too! Also on my list - the farm, soft play, McDonalds (she loves to go as a treat), out for ice cream, walk in the woods.
Its been a long week!
After all, they are both going to have big changes when they start school the following week. There aren't many movies that they will watch, but they love a good Paw Patrol marathon.
