@Crystal: no at all, it is called golden seal. I would be careful about taking it during the TWW though. There is no research particularly contraindicating it but there's nothing to say it is safe either. It seems to work by healing interstitial tissue (like skin but on your insides) and I think it also stops bacteria from binding so you end up peeing it out. I find it works as fast as antibiotics and has none of the side effects. Plus you don't have to run a course e.i. You can just take one dose if you feel it coming on.

@holistic mama: oh yes, been there with the natural deodorant!

I keep trying to post and it won't let me!
Ah there it is...multiple times! Sorry for the mess everyone!

@sandy: Wow, that's good work!
If we are not pregnant this cycle I will definitely blame it on timing. Our BD was in no means perfect, my fertile week was when we were visiting family in ATL and trying to BD while your toddler is in the same room is a little weird. Did anyone see Sex and the City where Charlotte is having sex and Brady (miranda and steves child) wakes up and stares at them? That was my nightmare!

@Snowdrop: have yout talked to @mr. bee about your avatar? I can't wait to see the gorgeous wedding pic as your avatar.

Thank you so much to all of you for your support! ( I was trying to reply to you all in but I am afraid of missing someone) I have to say I was so much calmer at work this morning knowing that there was no longer anything to worry about.
I will certainly not be buying those tests when we do decide to try again though!
Now let's get some BFPs ladies!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@Mrs. Tea: Last month started fairly slow and ended with a bunch of bfp's, so fingers crossed this month will be similar!

Urgh I am so frustrated right now. It turns out I have been taking NSAIDs just when my body was gearing up for O. I mean it's good in one way because at least I know why all the EWCM suddenly dried up but why was I so stupid just listening to the doc instead of reading up my self?! That is not like me at all.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Snowdrop: Oh no! You should still be ok with BD-ing though, right?
@Mrs. Tea: We definitely need some BFPs in here!
honeydew / 7295 posts
@Snowdrop: you could try taking some mucinex or anything where only ingredient is guaifenisin. It's supposed to help your CM along with drinking a lot of water.
pear / 1846 posts
@Crystal: NSAID delay ovulation or can cause the egg to get stuck in the corpus luteum. I'm hoping it just delays and i'll get more fertile signs in a few days. Those tablets have gone sraight it the bin!
Are you feeling any better from AF yet? I know you said it was a really rough one?
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Snowdrop: Still rough today, but not nearly as bad as yesterday. Thank you so much for asking!
I just love that I can come here and commiserate about it! Where else can you do that?! you all.
Does anyone else use the EDD calculators to see when they would give birth if they got pregnant in any given month? I was just looking at what the timeline would like if this was my last TOM. Such a guilty pleasure!
pear / 1846 posts
@MrsMccarthy: yes I might start that tonight, thanks!
@crystal: I do that as soon as I get AF and as soon as I confirm O. Count down to pregnancy has an advanced one that gives you all the milestones too.

GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Crystal: Ha ha, yes. Every single cycle as soon as I O. FF gives you the date in their pregnancy analysis section. If I was KU this cycle, I would be due September 26th, which sounds AWESOME.

Yipes! I just got my first blinky smiley face on my CBE advanced OPK! I had 4 days of blinky smiley faces before O last time... so its getting close! Time to get started with "the old in and out"... hehe. I think that is what I saw on a post here yesterday.

@Snowdrop: I just clicked this calculator. Thanks for the link! Just added to the zero productivity work day! Looks like I would be due Sept 29!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Snowdrop: @septca: I do it as soon as AF arrives. Then again during O. Then again when TOM is expected.
I always think, if I get pregnant this month, I will test this day, tell my husband like this, tell my family this day, then day dream about how those dates coincide with holidays for fun reveals.
I'll have to check that one out! I use the one on babycenter: http://www.babycenter.com/pregnancy-due-date-calculator

@Brawly: haha that was my line to DH earlier this week
So glad to see I have added to the unproductiveness of other people's day!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
Did you guys ever decide if you weren't KU by this date, you would take a break for whatever reason (vacation, not a good time for career, etc.)?
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Crystal: Yes!! I have a major conference I help plan and attend annually in August/September. Also, the end of the fiscal year for federal govt is sept 30, so I am busier than busier. And now look!?! We didnt take a break this year. I figure I have been here a year, and proved I'm a valuable employee (I promise I'm usually productive), and can't really put my family plans on hold.

@Crystal: We originally planned on skipping the months that would have given us a baby right around the holidays... but by the time that time came around we were so deep in TTC we just wanted a healthy baby. DD was born at the end of January, which would not have been my pick, but it turned out great.
Funny story - one of my friends waited a few extra months to TTC because she did not want her due date to interfere with her SIL's wedding (both she and her DH were in the wedding). Turns out she is REALLY bad at math, because she was due 2 days before the wedding. Her husband went, she and the baby (who came early) stayed home.

@dc yoga bee: We started trying last July (wanted to wait til after vacation so I could fully enjoy it), and planned to take a break if it didn't happen by December, since it would be difficult for me to be gone from work during the fall.
But who would have thought it would take this long? I was sure it wouldn't be a problem! (Silly naive me)
Now I just DGAF. I want a baby, work schedule will figure itself out.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@septca: That would not have worked for me because DS came 6 weeks early. Funny story, we actually had a wedding that weekend and I didn't feel comfortable traveling so DH was going to go to wedding by himself. Day before he left, my water broke.
persimmon / 1259 posts
@Crystal: Yes! To both questions! If this extremely unlikely cycle (only hit O-3) is our cycle, my EDD is 9/24/14. And if we are not pregnant by March (what would be the third Clomid cycle), then I will need a break. It will have been a year. That will also put the EDD of any potential pregnancy after the 2014 holiday season.
persimmon / 1167 posts
Haha...All this potential EDD is fun and scary all at the same time.
@Crystal: I totally day dream about how I would tell DH, parents and friends during certain times of the year.
A valentine's day BFP: "DH got me something pretty amazing this valentine's day...want to see?"
Something inside of an Easter egg in the spring...
Men get to propose...we get to reveal.
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
If we conceive this cycle my EDD would be September 27th...our ANNIVERSARY! That would be an amazing 6th anniversary gift!
persimmon / 1167 posts
We should start a group pinterest page....then we would never be productive at work EVER again. (Only part kidding).
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@sandy: Awww, that's perfect!!! If we are not pregnant this cycle our next EDD would be my birthday.
nectarine / 2809 posts
Just have to say THANK YOU!! What would I do without you ladies??!
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@littlek: as lovely as a birthday baby would be I'm really hoping you get a BFP this cycle
Our next two cycles are going to be super close to LO's birthday (she'll be 3)...and I feel like it would tough to give her a fun party but ultimately giving her a sibling is more important
