@LindsayInNY: I totally hear you. With DD, I did everything under the sun the last few cycles because I couldn't bear to look back and wonder "what if"? *Totally* unsolicited advice, but have you tried royal jelly? (@HolisticMama: I might recommend this to you, too.) It was the only supplement I really believed in when we were TTC DD and I have a few friends who were successful shortly after starting RJ. It's a bit crunchy and out there but it might be worth a shot if you are looking for something new.

@littlek: seriously! LO was in bed at 7:45 and up at 5:05...are you kidding me? 9am could not have come fast enough so I could drop him off at preschool for 3 hours. Lol. I love him more than life itself but man I wish he'd sleep a little more!

@bushelandapeck: Funny enough, my doctor said not to use OPKs because he thinks they can be stressful. He just said BD every other day starting CD10.

@dc yoga bee: no no you are right! Sorry!! i was replying while still in bed and not fully awake! O-1, O, O+1 and O+3 (Slaps hand to forehead) but that's still a TON of BD'ing and your timing was great!
ETA @snowdrop: whoa! That is some stamina, I bow.
Our longest streak has been 5 days while TTC but it's rare due to scheduling.

@bushelandapeck: and @littlek: This morning DD was up super early and was crabby by the time we left the house because she was in desparate need of a nap. I am pretty sure I am completely crazy to be on here some days.

@bushelandapeck: My LO actually sleeps really well, I wake him up for daycare at 7 a.m. every morning. However, he is very opinionated. The entire time I was changing him he kept pointing to this huge stuffed animal saying "bear" and trying to get to him. Trying to dress him in the morning is like herding cattle but worse.

@cmbknyc: LOL no worries. I just know theres no way Im doing the deed another two days in a row!!
Have there been any bfps this month yet?!?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@littlek: I am totally bummed that you didn't POAS this morning. But I get it. Plus, even though I would SUPER excited for you to get a BFP, I also would be totally jealous because I think of you as my TTC buddy.
I'll be waiting for news tomorrow!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
I know each month is different but I can't help but wonder if we have at least hit o-1, and o these past three months why hasn't it happened for us so far. Irrational thinking as I know good timing doesn't mean anything, but I guess it's all up to fate!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@dc yoga bee: My OB compared it to going to Vegas. It takes a little luck.
@septca: aww thanks TBH, I'm scared to death to POAS.. I keep checking for spotting today. My cycles are pretty consistent at 26 days and today is day 26, sooo I might be braver tomorrow if I know I"m late.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@dc yoga bee: I have said this before, but I think it bears repeating - timing is just a base requirement. Then a million and one (literally) things have to go *exactly* right.
I think I remember that you are 26 - is that right? My ultraconservative doctor says that *most* women under 30 *should* be pregnant within 6-9 months, but it *usually* takes more than 3. No idea where she gets these numbers, but they made me feel better because (1) it gave me hope up until about 9 months, and (2) it made me feel totally confident in seeking testing/answers after 9 months.
Also - do you want to get lunch or coffee sometimes? I'm happy to listen to you vent.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@septca: omg I was totally thinking of asking if you wanted to meet up, but worries you might think I'm a creeper! Totally. No one in real life knows,we are, trying, and we are the first of our friends to try. Yep, I'm 26! Those numbers make me feel better. I'll take what I can get lol.
@littlek: FX for you!! Hopefully AF stays away for a long long time!

@littlek: My fingers are crossed sooooooo hard for you!!!! I really hope you have no spotting today and a BFP tomorrow!!!!!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@LindsayInNY: No, it's a supplement. It's bee pollen and tastes like super-charged honey. It's supposed to be amazing for both male swimmers and female eggs because it is loaded with the Queen Bee's nutrients. You can buy it at GNC and Whole Foods (I think), and you want the raw (not encapsulated) form. My husband I both took it 2x/day the month I got KU. It's absolutely not a super-fire solution and I am sure lots of REs would think it was ridiculous, but I think it's one of those "why not?" things. You CANNOT take it if you are allergic to bees.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@HolisticMama: I totally think temping, opks, fertility friend AND hellobee makes TTC stressful. OPKs not so much since I just do them a few days out of the month. But being in a TWW and constantly checking the internet is no fun.
Speaking of fun... the most days I have consecutively BD is seven (7). That was last month and I brought DH with me on a business trip to keep that going. No baby, but it was a fun trip. This month I just did five (5) days. And I chose not to BD on O+1. I'm tired!

@littlek: soooo excited/nervous for you!
Finally hit CD 8 over here. Got a low on my CBEFM I have been ovating around CD 18-20 so it could be a while still. This is so boring and nerve wracking

Ladies please don't think that that amount of BDing is any where near a norm for me, and at the end of the day all it got me was a mild UTI, so I wouldn't even recommend it!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
So I'm starting to think that maybe I'm not even ovulating. Probably pumping 6 times a day is messing up my body, haha.
@MrsMccarthy: Ugh, I HATE that beginning part of the cycle when you're just waiting to get closer to O-day so you can get things started!! It's almost as bad as the TWW!!

@catchafallingstar: sorry I missed that one! Hope you are feeling ok, lots of hugs from England

@septca: I was actually thinking of doing royal jelly next cycle. I am starting to become the definition of crunchy. LOL. I think when I started using cloth "mama pads" that I was officially thrown onto the side of being pretty new agey. Haha. (But can I just say...? Cloth pads are super amazing. They are crazy comfortable and I know without a doubt that they don't contain chemicals)
I'm also seed cycling. Can't see why it would hurt. :: shrugs :: So I drink two tablespoons of chia seeds every morning for two weeks. It's supposed to help with my estrogen levels.

I buy them at our cloth diapering store here in town. I love the ladies in that shop. So I alternate between buying cloth pads or soap every month that I'm not pregnant. LOL. I love supporting the store and I absolutely adore seeing all the new crunchy baby items.

@HolisticMama: what a sweet photo!
I think TTC after several cycles gets stressful whether or not you are charting...but I think there can be more urgency/pressure when you get a confirmed O date and also sadness/resentment if BD doesn't end up happening for whatever reason.
I'm not charting or using OPKs...just trying to BD as much as possible around CD 10 through CD 18. My husband has been traveling a lot for work lately. This cycle was our most productive...we were able to BD everyday from CD 11 - CD 18..he left early morning of CD 19 or else I might have pushed for another day of BD...so our record is 8 days of BD. If this cycle isn't successful I might try BD earlier, like CD 8 and do EOD until CD 20

@Snowdrop: You poor girl. a UTI?!? I'm prone to such life unpleasantries. But 2-3 weeks in a row is what all my easily-impregnated friends tell me to do. Sucks...
persimmon / 1167 posts
@sandy: Wow! That's super intense! LOL! This cycle for you sounds fruitful!
I really enjoyed your perspective about charting. I could DEFINITELY see myself getting upset and resentful if I absolutely knew O and we missed it. Those emotions are ones I'm trying to actively work on. Protecting my mental and emotional health through this journey is one of my top priorities.

@CatchAFallingStar: and @Mrs. Tea: Sorry you ladies are out this month.

@MrsMcD: that is dedication coordinating a work trip! I would have to get my mom to take time off work to stay with LO but I may do it if we are still trying in a few months...he's been traveling so much lately.
@septca: @HolisticMama: i am totally getting some royal jelly if this cycle isn't successful
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@sandy: We have no LOs and no pets, so leaving home is never an issue.... something we will miss when we do have LOs!
pear / 1846 posts
@MrsMcD: yes so am I ever since I got a kidney infection about 4 years ago luckily last year I found a herbal remedy that works better than antibiotics so it was pretty easily solved but at 1 point I was getting them 2x a month and was scared to BD!
That's what my easily pregnant friends say, just have sex everyday for two weeks...if only!
@holistic mama: I use the moon cup now, so do loads of my friends, if I have to use tampons for one reason or another I just hate it so much. Once you go natural you just can't go back!
Can someone explain to be what crunchy means? We don't ave that word here?
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Snowdrop: I found a "crunchy" quiz. LOL. http://themoralesfamily.us/granola.htm
http://www.pistachioproject.com/2012/08/how-crunchy-are-you.html
I believe "crunchy" comes from the generalization that people who prefer all-natural, organic might also like granola. And granola is physically crunchy.

@HolisticMama: Our record was 7 days. I needed a long break after that! You always have such a great mental attitude and perspective!
@Snowdrop: You always make me laugh!
@sandy: I am with you there- I can feel resentful when I feel we "missed" our chance.
Plus, sometimes I go in to BDing with an intent just to do it for baby making sake. Then its not fun for anyone.
@septca: When people say Royal Jelly, I always think of Petroleum jelly. Thanks for clarifying! If this month isn't our month, I think I may try it.
@littlek: Do you have any HPTs at home? I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!
@LindsayInNY: I am right there with you in giving it your all. TTC can make me feel so down sometimes, especially trying to bounce back from a loss.
I drowned my Devil-TOM sorrows in wine, chocolate, and sweat pants last night. It was definitely needed.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Snowdrop: Do you mind sharing your remedy? I get them too and hate it.
pear / 1846 posts
@HolisticMama: haha a tenuous link for the development of a word! I do like stuff like that too but only if I genuinely feel it is better.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Snowdrop: Agreed. I'm still trying to find a natural deodorant that works for me. And the definition of "better" is so broad. LOL. Natural deodorant is better in that it doesn't allow for aluminium accumulation in my lymph nodes, but it's NOT better in that none of the darn stuff works. Haha.
