@SweetiePie: Congratulations!!!
Happy Monday to everyone!
My thermometer apparently bit the dust today-- either that or I feel fabulous for having a fever of 102.7... I am going to order a new one tonight. Does anyone have one that is backlit, remembers the last temperature and doesn't beep every few seconds?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Cole: yes, the one from CVS! I really liked it. The remembers your last temp feature is great! I liked this because sometimes I would stress about the temp (and not be able to go back to sleep) if I looked at it right away.

Hi ladies...just checking in. I feel bad not being caught up on ALL 33 pages! Lots of activity here this month...SO GREAT!
Just thought I would pop in with an update...
For the past year I have been ovulating at CD19-21. After last month's BFN I decided to take it a little easy this month and not use OPKs, only temp from CD12 until I get a temp shift and DTD EOD from CD12. Well...wouldn't you know...I ovulated on CD15!!! I was so bummed at first cause I am so used to like 10 days of marathon sex and this month we were only able to DTD at O-3, O-1 and O+1.. But then I realized that's pretty ideal timing and started feeling better.
Today I am sitting at 9DPO and my breasts have been super tender since 5DPO and today I am feeling super nauseous and having crazy diarrhea. Like so much so that I think I may have the tummy bug but of course I googled diarrhea as a BFP symptom and I'm finding it everywhere. BUT...I'm not even counting the cramps and poking like pains in my lower abdomen as symptoms because I had those with all my BFN too.
So I think I will test on Thursday at 12DPO and hope for the best! Keep your fingers crossed!

@SweetiePie: Ahhh, congrats!!
@LindsayInNY: Sorry about your bfn ((hugs))

@whatsarahsaid: OMG fingers crossed so hard for you friend! I had crazy diarrhea 3dpo and am thinking it was tummy bug over weekend bc i feel fine now. But, google says its an early symptom!!! Eep! I so hope this is it for you!

@whatsarahsaid: Wow! Sounds SO very promising! Yay!
Happy Monday, All!
I have a really late night at work, probably not getting off until 9 PM. :: sigh :: And I really want to BD tonight. I'm CD13. This will be the first time I have DTD...just for the simple fact of BD. Hm. Still coming to terms with it.
Trying to do homework...and you can see how well that is going.

Dpo13 and bfn this morning. I have to admit, we were very lucky with dd because she was conceived the first month we tried. I was hoping for the same luck with #2 but my cycles are not as consistent as they were the first time. I didnt temp, chart, or opk just bd every other day beginning cd14 for 2 weeks, like last time. My cycle now is 36-37 days so expecting af tomorrow.
I will go out to buy another hpt later... just in case

@whatsarahsaid: I had crazy diarrhea as my #1 early pregnancy symptom! I was so confused as I had always read that constipation happens with pregnancy. (I read one post where @runnerd said that she chimes in at the weirdest places on posts... I completely feel like that right now)

@SweetiePie: Yay!!!!! I've been following you story / lightly stalking you.
@LindsayInNY: I'm so sorry - your good attitude is very admirable! Stay strong!

@whatsarahsaid: Oooh! That does sound promising! Can't wait to check back in tomorrow when you test!
@babypie: fx for you!
@HolisticMama: DTD just for ttc is a hard thing come to grips with I think. I've been trying to just do it when we feel like it and hope that it coincides with O. We'll see how well that works! lol.

@bushelandapeck: :: sigh :: Yeah. I went upstairs to check and see if he was awake this morning and he still wanted to sleep. I mean...I want to do it as I'm always more eager around this time of the month. But I can't really force it on him, but good lord...I want to.
How to not be disappointed? How to not be somewhat sad? And have it put a strain on your relationship?
Yup. These are the questions floating around in my head.
I love my husband like something fierce. But he's just not like the past men I have been with that are willing to go at a moment's notice. Like...they would never miss a chance. My husband is the opposite of that.

Continuing my marathon early POAS updates... BFNs yesterday and today and I *seriously* need new Wondfos because I have gotten an evap every day. I even wasted a FRER this morning because I was so mad at my Wondfos.
I am kind of a mess this cycle... I am either 9/10 DPO (FF says 9) and have been super nauseous all day the last 2 days. It's definitely not the stomach flu (which I am avoiding like the plague), more like random waves of mild nausea and a low-grade headache all day. Ugh. I never had morning sickness with DD and it is WAY to early to have nausea as a preg symptom... so I am just miserable with no cause and 3 days' worth of BFNs. DH is convinced I am KU, so he gets giddy every time I tell him how terrible I feel. Thanks, honey! I would be super excited to be successful this month (no more TTC!!), but - if I am honest with myself - there is a small part of me that also hopes I am not. For stupid reasons (all of my mat clothes are for a late January baby) and not-so-stupid ones (I am applying for a HUGE promotion at work, and having to announce another mat leave so soon probably wouldn't be that awesome, and I am already close to losing as it is taking care of two babies (counting my husband
)). Anyway, I am just venting. I hate this!
I am also using my lunacy to throw some more support for early POASing: If I hadn't been regularly testing, I would totally think I was KU right now. Like, without a doubt. And then getting AF would suuuuuuuccccccccckkkkkkk. At least this way, I am 80% convinced that my body is just playing tricks on me with the psychosomatic nausea.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@babypie: Still in the game till AF shows love..
@septca: You are still super early.
I started OPKs yesterday eventhough I keep telling myself not to stress this cycle. I can't help it, I love POAS... I'm sick very sick... In happy news, and in attempt to avoid my coworkers who are all KU, I will be going to PB at lunch to spend some more of my husbands money on place settings for our new dinning room table.

@HolisticMama: That is tough. I have a DH like you described and I am firmly in the "every once in a while would be just fine" camp so it isn't perfect for us either. It does make ttc a bit easier though, unless there happens to be a good sports game on I hope your DH feels more in the mood tonight.
@septca: agh! the ttc craziness! I hate seeing those evap lines!

@littlek: I absolutely love all things dinnerware! I get that from my mom who lives alone and owns no less than 25 different patterns of place mats and napkins. Lol. Post a pic if you pick something!

@sweetiepie: Congratulations! So happy for you!
@whatsarahsaid: This all sounds very promising!
UPDATE - My random faint spotting yesterday morning only was that one time so far. But the weird thing is, AF is supposed to start tomorrow and I have NO symptoms. Usually, my breasts feel heavy and enlarged, and I should have cramps. I feel NOTHING. I'm not complaining, but I'm confused. But that also doesn't give me hope for BFP because you would think I would at least feel tired or have tender boobs or have little cramps or low back pain. It's like I'm striving to symptom spot, terrible I know. I guess we'll just see what tomorrow brings. My guess is that maybe I actually ovulated a day or two after I think I did, so AF symptoms haven't quite started and I 100% would have missed the fertile window.
I'll keep you all updated!

@sarahnicole218: What happens if you press in on your nips?
@bushelandapeck: and @littlek: Thanks. I know I am a crazy person. But I feel terrible and want to know why!
@littlek: Yes! We need pictures!!! We are in the process of getting new bedding and I *love* shopping for it.

@septca: How hard? I mean, eventually it hurts, lol. I guess they feel a little sore, just not quite to that point like pre-O when I take off my bra and the "falling" action hurts so bad.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@sarahnicole218: Okay. Just checking. The cycle I had my BFP, my chest was only sore right under the nips (versus my regular PMSy soreness, which is on the bottom and sides) - and it was kind of a tingly soreness.
This brings up more venting: I trust my chest to be my TTC roadmap. It's never let me down. Until now. Because BFing just mimics all the signs. Gah.

@sarahnicole218: Still holding out hope for you!
Thanks to everyone for the congrats! There are so many and I'm afraid I'll leave someone out by mistake since I'm in a rush at work. But I read all of them and they make me happy
@bushelandapeck: @HolisticMama: Are we all married to the same husband??? Mine is the same way...he is extremely affectionate and showers me with compliments, but he just isn't a 'need sex to live' kind of guy. He'd much rather cuddle and give me sweet kisses. Granted it wasn't like that when we were (much) younger, but I guess that'll happen with time.
I mostly like the cuddling better too, but sometimes you just want...it. Haha.

@whatsarahsaid: That all sounds promising to me!!! Good luck and keep us posted!

@Cole: Ditto @septca. I used the CVS one (back when I was TTC naturally) and liked it. I used a few basal thermometers before settling on that one.

@whatsarahsaid: Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
@HolisticMama: Usually my DH is always ready to go, so of course last night when I wanted to BD he was too tired! And then as soon as I gave up and started to fall asleep, he changed his mind.
This is my first month temping, and so far my temps have been all over the place, which is kind of frustrating. Partially my fault though because I've just been doing it when I wake up before I get out of bed, but it hasn't always been at exactly the same time. I need to start setting an alarm.

AF is scheduled to arrive the end of this week. My husband asked me to POAS this morning and it was a BFN :(. I usually start spotting a day or two before AF starts so we'll see. I'm still holding out hope that it's early...

@SweetiePie: Are you going to take a digital? I can't wait to see that little "Pregnant" on a test someday.
And you are so awesome. Taking time to respond to the thread even when you are probably so carried away with awesome BFP thoughts. I'm so happy for you.
@wonderstruck: That is kind of the reason I don't think I would be good at temping. My sleep is always messed up and I don't ever think I could get an accurate read.
