Alright...another OPK question. I used digital OPK's this month, but not consistently. I got a negative on 1/10 then didn't test again until 1/20...Clearly I can't go by the smiley face yesterday because it's only registering an increase in LH since the last test on 1/10, right? And I have no O CM and haven't since 1/12 when I noted EWCM. Man, this is all so confusing!!

@bushelandapeck: Do you have any non-digital OPK test strips that you can use to confirm it?
pomelo / 5720 posts
@wonderstruck: I'm going to see if I have any old ones I can use when I get home tonight. Otherwise, I just have the digital ones.

@bushelandapeck: I don't think you can trust the digital. I'm sorry.

@littlek: I know...I keep hoping there is some miraculous answer from you bees that will help me make sense of this cycle. Thanks for being honest

@bushelandapeck: I agree the digital is comparing it to the last opk that you took. Sorry
@PawPrints:((hugs)) BFNs stink all around. I hope you get your BFP soon.

I had no clue the digitals worked that way! Do they all work that way? I have the Clear Blue Digitals but not the ones that do the blinky face. I thought I could use them just once to confirm a surge and use cheapies the rest of the time.

@HolisticMama: lol thank you! You're like a TTC encyclopedia, love it!
@brawly: good luck!!!
@PawPrints: I'm sorry

@Cole: I use the ones with the solid smiley face and it appears they register LH changes so that's why you have to take them consistently. I didn't know that until I was reading about it today.

@mfa_lady: @Crystal: this!!! My original due date is coming up in a couple of months and as much as I try not to think in terms of where I should have been it's hard not to. Now every time I stop myself from planning ahead bec I might be 6 weeks, 8 weeks etc I force myself to just move forward or life is going to pass me by...
But on a happy note I'm now really living life to it's fullest

@PawPrints: aww I'm sorry honey. I hope you get a special valentine.
@wonderstruck: BD tonight if you can! The fact that you hit got a positive in the afternoon means you may still have an egg waiting! Good luck!
@bushelandapeck: I'm a little scared of digital opks. I hope you get some peace of mind soon. Hugs

@cmbknyc: Same here, girl. I would have been late April. It's so hard to find the not-crazy place between the past that never was and the undefined future...so glad I'm not the only one who does this! Thinking of you.

@wonderstruck: Good thing you tested again! Good luck this cycle!
I am going to do another OPK tonight and hopefully get a darker line.
@Brawly: Good luck!
@PawPrints: Oh, that sucks. I'm sorry.
@mfa_lady: I do that with holidays big time! Ugh!
@dc yoga bee: We are doing the same thing! If I don't get pregnant, it will be something to take my mind off of it. If I do, it will be a babymoon. Win-Win.
@bushelandapeck: this is only my first month using OPKs, but another vote for the cheapies. Only because I like being able to see the lines for myself.

@cmbknyc: I also realized I can't keep putting off plans. If I got pregnant right away, I would be giving birth in March. If I didn't suffer a loss, I would be 13 weeks. I need to press forward and readjust as necessary, not be sad I missed things thinking (hoping) I would be KU.

@bushelandapeck: Thanks! Now I feel badly because I have been telling people they are awful since they give me very little warning for ovulation but it was most likely user error. I even called and complained to the company because they are really pricey for as useless as they are when you use them the way I was...
Would someone mind taking a look at my chart? http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/47c932 (the +opk on day 9 is sort of a dummy piece of info)
I normally ovulate around day 15/16 and I am on day 15 now. I started taking vitex this cycle which is new for me and now my cycle is kind of odd. I would have expected at least sort of dark wondfos right now but instead they are so light I would barely count it as a positive on a hpt. I took them on cycle days 8 & 9, on day 9 I got a line that was getting closer to positive and then I think I forgot to test the next day. Since they got lighter after that I started to think I geared up for ovulation and then didn't? I did have ovary-ish pain but my period was crazy odd and frankly I am just confused. Plus the last three nights I had awful sleep but it isn't like I was getting up and walking around, more like waking up and telling my dog to move so I can't decide how inaccurate those three temps are.
Basically, do you think it is possible I ovulated almost a week early? Am I pretty much screwed considering our bd timing if so? Does anyone have magical powers that can divine what on earth is going on with my body? I suppose at the end of the day all I can really do is keep temping, using opks and bd-ing.

Hey ladies, I just had my Lasik eye surgery today so I am out of commission tonight. I should be okay tomorrow, but I have to rest my eyes today and through tomorrow afternoon. I will update the list then. Sorry for the inconvenience and I will catch up with you all then! Love you all!!

@Crystal: @cmbknyc: I have run into the issue of putting life on hold a bit too. I was so optimistic that I would be pregnant quickly and I started making plans around this imaginary pregnancy. My husband thankfully talked some sense into me and we registered for a weekend race in May so that will be a lot of fun. I am glad I have something to look forward to and if I can't do it I will at least have a happy reason.

@Mrs.Panda: I hope all went well! You're too sweet for checking in, we will catch up with you tomorrow!

@Mrs. Panda: How was the surgery? I've contemplated getting it for some time but I've always put it off.
In TTC news, my temps started to rise this AM. I still don't have a ton of hope, since I O'd the day after DH left for a 5 day business trip, but I'm trying not to think about it too much. Which is easy....since LO has decided that sleeping while Dad is gone is for the birds. I'm so tired...just how I wanted to spend the last week of my 20's

@Cole: hmmm that would be super early.. Perhaps you will ovulate late?

@Keppa: happy almost birthday!!!
My OPKs weren't any darker this afternoon... Hmm...
Do you all account for time of day when you took the test?
For example, my one this morning was FMU. The one this afternoon was on a few hour hold, but I also drank a lot of water, so I would think the OPK this afternoon might "count" for more than the one this morning?
Still not a + yet! hopefully tomorrow!

@mfa_lady: thinking of you, as well! Hopefully we get out sticky babies soon.
@Crystal: we can do it!!!!
@Mrs.Panda: enjoy your 20/20 vision, I'm jealous!
@Cole: how exciting and fun! Love the positivity

@Cole: I would say you Oed CD 10 but it's hard to tell with so little pre o temping data.
@Mrs.Panda: Wishing you a speedy recovery!
@Crystal: I get a day of darkish lines before the build up to positive the next day so hoping you will get some results tomorrow.

Holy smokes, ladies! FF gave me crosshairs!!! I'm trying not to get my hopes up, because I've gotten crosshairs before only to have them taken away, but my temps are way up this morning and I don't FEEL sick, so HOPEFULLY!! Although even if I did ovulate when FF thinks I might've, we only had sex ONCE in my fertility window at O-2. Trying not to get my hopes up, but with this new info, I'll definitely be testing Jan. 31st!

@Keppa: ugh sounds like you are having a rough go. I hope your LO starts sleeping better!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Crystal: I think if you drank a ton of water it does dilute your U, so I'm not sure how reliable the results are.
pomelo / 5720 posts
@Mrs.Panda: I hope you're feeling better today!
@Adira: I have read a lot of ladies on HB have had luck with O-2 so hopefully that's the case for you too!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@bushelandapeck: Hearing about other's success with O-2 is why I'm so hopeful!!! But I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up because who knows if I even really O'd when FF thinks I did! Gahhh!!!! This is all too stressful!
pomelo / 5720 posts
Nothing too crazy for me....took a cheapie (albeit expired) OPK this morning and it was negative so hopefully that means I did O at some point. I think we BD pretty consistently no matter when the O happened (if it did at all). I'm having some cramping that could mean impending AF or possibly BFP, as they were a symptom in my past two pregnancies. Not getting my hopes up though and will test again Friday if AF isn't here.
pomelo / 5720 posts
@Adira: It is so stressful! I wish I could turn off my brain for a few days and stop obsessively thinking about the what-if's. What does this give you for a test date?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@bushelandapeck: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!! Hopefully that cramping you're experiencing is implantation or something similar!!!
As for me, I'm still planning to test on January 31st. That will be 12 DPO, assuming FF is right that I ovulated on Sunday.
