If you missed it, I was asking HB last week what they thought about the Beco Gemini - was it still the carrier that most HBers suggested? Turns out the answer is a big resounding "YES!" So DH bought me my very own Beco Gemini last week and IT'S FINALLY HERE!

So excited!

I immediately couldn't wait to try it on and ripped into the box like a mad woman! Inside, I found a pamphlet explaining the different positions and how to achieve them with ever-so-helpful tiny pictures and instructions; my Beco Gemini (we chose Stella Black - I'm in luuuuurve); a small warning pamphlet reminding you to baby wear responsibly; and a registration card. Well, I tried to follow the instructions included but my ADHD due to having two kids kicked in and I immediately went to Professor YouTube. I stumbled across this video:

It's apparently some officially unofficial video about all the Beco Gemini features. If you have nine minutes of your life to dedicate to studying this video, I highly suggest it. In my excitement, however, she wasn't getting to the goods fast enough for me so I clicked on over to this video:

Thankfully, this woman got to the point faster and answered my "How does this work" question quickly and soon I was a mad woman wearing a baby! Albeit a fussy baby. Apparently trying to stuff your nearly eight week old into a new contraption while they have gas and you're busy finagling with the straps is not a good idea. Who knew?

I snapped a quick picture of us together and then put her down for her nap (after burping her of course). Then it was on to torture my son with this new fangled contraption. Mwhahahhaha. I referred back to the first video (fast forwarding quite a bit) and soon, my toddler was on my back and LOVING it. He couldn't stop giggling.

All in all, I call this a major win. I am now officially a baby wearer!

(Please excuse the laundry and my terrible hair)
