I was thinking of getting an activity cube for my 1 year old. Any recommendations on type? Is this toy appropriate for that age?

I wouldn't buy one this late in the game, personally. My LO is 12m and ignores them at play group.

@scg00387: Really? We got M's for her first birthday and she loves it. There are a lot of things I think she'll benefit from down the road (it has the whole alphabet on it, and spinning wood circles where you have to match the right animal top to the right animal bottom).

@MamaMoose: Maybe it's because we have a few of the elements in other toys? We have this, which is somewhat similar but he can push it http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-1552-Activity-Cart/dp/B009RUWV6A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1386208353&sr=8-1&keywords=melissa+and+doug+activity+cart
I think maybe the problem is simply that he only likes toys he can push, pull, or carry because he's always moving

MIL got DS a "my busy farm" from Costco for his first birthday. He really likes it!
