Yep - mine came out about 2 years ago. I'm on a liquid for the patches I get on my face, and a cream around my hairline. Luckily it's not nearly as bad as my mother. I find it comes out more in winter and when I'm stressed.

@Happygal: Okay, Sorry if this gets long… My eczema showed up a few years ago and I never had any problems before. It was year round… I went to a dermatologist who basically treated the symptoms with steroid creams and what not. I took a few rounds of steroid pills to clear it up when it was extremely bad and even had a shot once or twice. It would always clear up afterwards but then creep back. I ended up getting referred to an allergist and that was the best thing I could have done. She was much more helpful with it and I rarely have problems with it anymore. I had allergy testing done and was shown to be allergic to pretty much everything but mold, so from March until the first frost, I am the worst. I have a strong reaction to dust mites so what I ended up doing was buying allergy covers for our mattress, box spring and pillows. This was AMAZING!!! I started washing our sheets weekly in hot water and drying on high to kill the dust mites and added the covers. Now, I don't need to wash out sheets as often, but basically I was sleeping all night on what was causing my reaction. Adding the mattress covers made the biggest difference. Also, we have all hardwood which takes away the dust mites in carpet. We also cannot really enjoy the windows open in our house or else I break out from it after a while. My allergist also suggested stopping taking hot showers and making sure I get an unscented lotion on my skin within 3 minutes of the water being off. I also switched to unscented everything. Sorry for the novel but I remember being in so much pain and discomfort at the worst of it and was amazed at how a few simple changes made the difference for me.

@happygal, mine was because I had my fingers in nitrile gloves a lot for a chemistry lab I was taking. It was the combo of chemicals, super dry/irritated skin, excessive hand washing, trapped in gloves, everything. It just pissed my fingers off and i had weird eczema patches under my fingernails and on the tips of my fingers that wouldn't go away.

I had it in elementary school and then nothing until college. It came back in college and law school but in different areas (face instead of body). I don't know the trigger, just try to manage, if you will? Cetaphil face wash does wonders for me.

Mine came on at about 22. At the time my whole body was basically in revolt as I tried to get my food allergies sorted out. I ended up being allergic to gluten and most of my other symptoms have been under control since going gluten free, but the eczema hasn't improved at all. I manage it with Eucerin calming body wash (the kind that is oily), lots of lotion, and steroid cream when necessary.

@Happygal: right, I've had it most of my life, but the fertility meds really made it awful. Stress too.
