We're taking our first family vacation to Mexico in February!! LO will have just turned 6 months when we leave. I've been making a list of everything I'll need for her, but any tips for traveling in Mexico, beach care, etc etc etc would be greatly appreciated! She'll still be exclusively BF so I'll save myself the hassles of food at least. And the resort is very infant friendly so I'm hoping we wont run into too many problems.

Make sure you only drink bottled water! Take sunblock, hat, sunglasses for your LO. Have fun!

i was going to say the same - don't drink anything with ice or their tap water (not everyone's stomach can handle it).....
also, stay in the main areas - my hubby and i drove to chitchen itza (forget spelling) and on our way back, we got bombarded with mexican military. very scary. they were aiming machine guns at us and tapping at our rental car screaming in spanish.

I actually live in Mexico
- the first time we went to the beach, when my babe was 4 months old, our pedi suggested we take a little bitty inflatable pool. I thought that was a great idea to help the baby stay cool without always having to be in the big pool. FWIW. Also take plenty of clothes that are lightweight but cover a lot of skin.I am sure you'll be fine. Stay aware of your surroundings and obey the law and authorities. Stay calm and respectful and have a great time!

@sunshine44: we were so confused and scared! we didn't know what they wanted. i think they wanted to see our id or something and we happened to have our drivers license and they let us go after they looked at it. i thought we'd be hijacked or murdered haha. at least, that's what flashed by in my mind.
