I'm kinda worried because I've been expecting AF but still no sign. I haven't been tracking it, this will only be my 3rd pp period so I'm wondering if they can irregular. Can they come one month and then not come and that be normal? I'm still bf-ing...

mine were both regular after AF returned at 7 and 8 months pp.
the first time around I was on a 40-42 day cycle.
the second time around 28 days for 5 cycles, and I had a random 34 day cycle. -
The first time it came at 5, 6 and 8 months pp then again at 10 months which is when we got pregnant with #2. The second time it came at 5 months again but was regular for every month after that. I EBF for both.

i got it 16 months pp and nursed til 26 months. my period was so irregular and heavy and i hated it... so i went on the pill. taking the pill sucks but at least i'm regular and my period is so much lighter!

My periods have been wonky since I get them PP. I had a few long cycles and the rest have been on the shorter side. I think it's pretty normal but be wary if your baby has any changes in their feeding schedule you can ovulate and become pregnant before seeing a period. Happened to my mom five months after I was born and then came my sister.

Mine came back and then skipped 2 months until it was regular again while bf'ing.

I had my first PP period (if it could even be called that since it only lasted day and was really light) at Christmas, and it hasn't returned again yet.

My first cycle pp was 28 days but after that they were irregular for 3-4 months or so until it settled down to a 31 day cycle, which is longer than before pregnancy.
I did take a few pregnancy tests along the way!

@jh524: I think it's because your hormone balance changes when your LO goes longer between feedings. I think that's what I heard.
I got my period just before 6 months pp, then 9 months and regular since then.

So far I've only had three (got my first Christmas Eve ;)), first two were 38 days apart, second and third were 28.

My pp AFs have also been wonky... long, with late O, and my first pp LP was super short (it has gotten longer each cycle since, thankfully). Weaning/going longer between feedings can also cause drastic hormonal shifts which can make you feel nauseous or mess with your cycles.
I would POAS, but not stress too much.

@septca: thanks! I took a test. I was 11 days late. It was negative and I was relieved. And today I started so I'm just on a wonky schedule too
