The eye candy at work post got me thinking about this one... esp because I work in an environment where I am blatantly one of the youngest, if not the youngest in my building (28). Most are in their 40s-50s+
What about your work?

At my last job, DH and I were among the youngest people there; the average age for employees was 57! It was kinda weird, at first, since most of our co-workers had kids our age, but we got used to it.

We are all over the board. Probably most people are in their 20s/30s. A few 50s. Maybe a couple of 40s?

Only three people in my office currently. 34, 26, and 24 are our ages. So, we are pretty young.
I work in a 12 floor office building though. So the age variety runs the gamut here.

Probably at least 75% of my office are 25-40 year old females-- we have a LOT of babies around here! Very few men work here (and no, I don't work in education, where I hear that is the norm.)

there are just a handful of late 20's very early 30's (4 of us turned 30 last year) and the rest have been with the company for decades....

For my WAH job, I'm probably the second or third youngest. On the web it's harder to tell ages, and easier to avoid age prejudices, which I like. I think they thought I was older when they hired me.
At the library, I'm at least 30 years younger than the rest of the employees. All the employees are at least in their 50s, and most of the volunteers are 60-80. Part of the reason they moved me up from volunteer was because I'm young and healthy! They needed someone to fill in for all the old ladies who were out getting surgery, haha.

We have two groups. A group around my age (late 20s to early 30s) and then a group that's late 40s/early 50s anywhere to 70s. No one really middle aged : )

Most are in our 30s, some in 20s and some in 40s-early 50s!

For my summer job (large daycare), its really all over the place. We're all women between 20-65.
During the school year, I work at a smaller pre-k center. Its all women and the average age is probably 30.
I'm almost 23.

Same here. I am one of the VERY few women and then on top of that at 28 I think the next closest to my age is mid 40's.

@Rescuemom10: do we work in the same place? LOL
I work in the tech sector, so most people are males in their 30-50s. I'm one of the youngest and female. I can't complain though...there isn't much drama working with guys!

We are a small, young office. The senior manager is in his mid 30s and the rest of us are all late 20s! Our NY office is alot older thanks to more senior management being up there and them having a bigger office, but I love our young office!

I'm probably middle of the pack for my office, but a lot of people think I'm much younger (like intern level).

In my location, the average age skews much higher (late 40s - early 50s). But my dept as a whole there's a much wider range and a lot of other people in the late 20s/early 30s range.
