I picked up a Rody at the Isis closing sale for a very good price. When I got home I noticed the age is 3+. I feel like it's way too small and boring for a 3 year old. My daughter is 6 months and we were thinking of it as a first birthday present. Anyone have one? How old was you LO when they used it?

My 11mo could definitely sit on it independently, but wouldn't really be able to make it bounce. She walks, but is timid with it. I think once they're walking confidently, it would be more useable. I think 15m+ would be ideal!

We have the similar trumpette cow, and he is really tall for it at 14 months. I think it'd be a fine 1 year birthday present if your LO is walking by then. It would be a little dicey if he/she was trying to pull up on it and it fell over.

One is a good age as far as size goes, but you'll need to be right there with her. They tip really easily.

We gave it at one, she loved it.

I think this is a "cover your ass" thing by the toy company. They put a very high age limit to protect against being sued if a little one gets hurt. Some walkers say 3+ which is just absurd.

We gave lo one for Xmas and he was 17 months.

I'd say like 16 months. My LO wasn't walking by a year and definitely would have fallen off/not understood it until she was a very comfortable walker.

MY LO got it as a first birthday present. At first she was a little afraid of it, now at 14 months she likes to bounce on it with help, soon I'm sure she will take off by herself!
