At what age would you take your LO to the circus? The circus will be in town when LO will almost be 2. What do you think? Too young?

We took DD at 18 months, and she was NOT ready for it. She liked it but she couldn't sit still long enough for the whole thing. I think it might be better at 2 yrs old, but I'm going to wait until 3 to take her back.

We took DS to a local Shriner's circus at age 2.5 - he did pretty well but I was glad I didn't pay for the tickets - I think 3 would be good

Personally I would say 4, but that is based on my child's personality and he is a timid guy.

4-5. We went last year, at 5, and it was just right for DS. It was so lame to me and DH that we're glad he was old enough to remember so that it doesn't have to be an every year thing, lol. But, it was brilliant to DS.
I don't think he would have liked it as much before 3.

I'd wait until next year. I'm thinking 4 for my LO so that she can enjoy it and I can get my money's worth.

I have gone to the circus the last two summers. For her first circus DD was a little over 2. She enjoyed it, but not as much as she did the next summer. At 3 she was very into it and it was fun. DS also came, the first time he was 6 months old, obviously didn't get it. He did well last summer, at 17 months old. He behaved well and sat the whole time, but I wouldn't have taken him if it was just him.

Definitely not yet for us, or anytime soon. I will wait for anything she has to actually sit through until she is older - 3 or 4.

Not 2. I think we went then and she was too young to sit still for it. It just wasn't engaging enough for her. I would wait until 3 at least. She could sit still at 2 for other things though, like Sesame Street Live. I think those kind of shows are better for the really small ones if you want to do something.

We took him to a smaller circus when he was 18 months and he really enjoyed it! He sat through the entire thing and ran around during intermission. He wasn't super into it (it wasn't the best circus) but he was well-behaved enough that WE were able to enjoy it!
