What do you use? We've used febreze in the past but looking for other options? Something a little more budget friendly and less chemical-y?

I heard about Fresh Wave at a mommy convention. I tried it out and it really reduced the smell around our cloth diapers. It's sold online (Amazon) and I believe Target sells it, too.
I think it's pretty natural and not as chemical-y.

for carpets I use baking soda and lemon essential oil - sprinkle it on and wait 30 mins then vacuum it up - smells amazing!!!

@Mamaof2: haha yes! I loooove baking soda. Looking for something to spray to get rid of the dog smell in our "mud room"!
@bluestriped bee: thanks! Will check it out.

@regberadaisy: Do you have an oil diffuser? I have one that I sometimes move to the living room to help with dog smell but we also use it in other places around the house so I may just need to get a second one.

@T.H.O.U.: the problem is scents give me terrible headaches. So, I don't like using anything that sticks around for too long like a diffuser, candles or plug ins.
