I'm doing 2 registries (Walmart and Amazon) and wanted to make sure there isn't anything that I'm missing or should consider adding. What do you think?

i wasn't able to open your amazon link, it just brings you to the search for a registry page, so i can't say what's missing because i'm assuming you have a bunch on there too. could you repost the link? off topic, but your DH has the same first name as my BIL = )

Same - I couldn't see your Amazon registry. I even tried looking it up with the info from your Walmart one and couldn't find it.

Amazon:
-White onesies I would do in a NB or 0-3 month size. By that size they are in regular clothing
- Extra cheap wash cloths
Walmart:
- Travel bassinet, there have been some recalls on other brands of these. Do some research to make sure its what you want.
- Maybe some cheap bibs
Other suggestions:
- Waterproof mattress pad?
- Burp cloths?

@Smurfette: We decided to get the stroller and car seat ourselves. We also got 2 crib sheets already. Do you think we should get some more?
@Adira: Actually, I don't want 2 mattresses. I must have forgotten that I put one on the other. I'll go in and decide. I probably should add some pacifiers.
Should I add things even if I think people will get them without it being on the registry?

@YSQueen: I would think 2 is plenty. I think we did 3 just to be safe.
I would add everything. I went with the thinking more is better. Never know what people will spend and buy. You can always take stuff back.
What about toys? For home and to hang off the car seat. First aid kit? Medicine?

@YSQueen: I didn't add things to my registry that I figured people would just get me (my registry is lacking some towels, blankets, onesies, diapers, etc), but if you are at all particular about what you get with those (like you REALLY want these onesies over another set), you might want to put them on your registry. Or maybe just put one of each, so people know you want them or get some ideas (or you'll have a better chance of actually getting them), but not put EVERYTHING you want so that you don't restrict people to specific brands/etc.

@Smurfette: My DH did mention some toys that he would like for the baby, so I'll prob add that as well as a first aid kit.

@Adira I went ahead and added certain brands hoping that people would buy those instead of what they think. But I know really some will just buy whatever they want, either the brand or what they think you need, whether you registered for it or not. But some only buy things on a registry. Who knows, I guess we will both find out in January what people do!

Some stuff we had that I don't see (not all necessary but personal preference in case anything jogs your mind)...
- Waterproof mattress pads
- Pack n play
- Rock n play
- First aid stuff like gas drops, vitamin d drops, diaper ointment (A+D and Triple Paste on several people's recommendations), Aquaphor for dry skin, nasal saline spray
- Shampoo/body wash and lotion
- Diaper pail
- So many people recommended the Gerber prefold cloth diapers as burp cloths so we registered for two packs
- First aid kit
- Brush and comb
- Pacifiers
- Hangers
- Breastpump (you never know!)
- Snack receptacles (we registered for the Playtex Twist N Click Flip Top 9 oz snacker) and bowls, sippy cup/straw cups
- Baby food freezer storage containers (only because I want to try making my own)
- More bibs (we registered for a 10-pack of one size and then two 3-packs of a smaller size)
- I'd highly recommend a rectal thermometer over a surface one, from what I understand it's much more accurate
- First aid kit
You have some sort of nipple cream on both the Amazon and Walmart registries, intentional? Also have two bottle sets on Walmart, intentional?

@Smurfette: I didn't think of that, haha. I think it could go either way - if you put something on your registry, some people will only get that EXACT item, but others might get similar items as well! It'll be interesting to find out what really happens! I'm expecting that I'll have to buy a ton of stuff myself since we have a TON of stuff on our registry and not THAT many people coming to the shower.

@Ladyfingers: Yes, having 2 bottle sets and 2 nipple creams were intentional. I wanted to have 2 different bottles for the baby to try and I'm not sure which cream I would like more, so I put both.
