For me, if I couldn't see poop then the shirt was fine. So I wouldn't have changed.

I'd let it go. He's the one wearing a poop shirt if he's wrong. There are bigger battles to fight.

I know a few of my friends' husbands would have handed a baby with a blowout over to them and said, "I can't do it. You do it." He also sounds pretty involved--cleaning up a blowout, snuggling and reading with your toddler before bed, and I'm sure a lot more!

I wouldn't look at it like he should have done it just to make you happy. That sounds like a recipe for being unhappy.

If I were him I probably would have changed, but I don't think it's a big deal - if he hadn't wanted to I wouldn't have pressed the issue. Not washing his hands after going to the bathroom and stuff like that is obviously gross and something I'd be discussing with him (not spreading germs, modeling proper habits for LO, etc), but when you're arguing about one thing and you start bringing in other things that bother you about him...it's just not productive, all you're going to do is make it a bigger deal than it needs to be, make him more defensive and start pointing out anything you do that he thinks is gross, and then you have yourself in the middle of a huge argument about something that shouldn't have been that big of a deal. If you want to talk to him about the cleanliness thing, don't do it when you're already arguing with him. It sounds like there's other issues at play here (I would be PISSED that he hasn't changed a diaper yet), but instead of discussing them you're digging in your heels on the small stuff.

Yeah just let it go. If he wants to wear a shit-covered shirt, that's his problem.
