Thoughts? I'm looking for an extra car seat base, and found one that's a great deal via the open box option. It says it's "like new"- does that mean it was just a return from a previous customer?

you're probably right, although it's hard to tell. is there a good return policy on it?

My husband and I bought an open box car seat ("like new" condition) a few months ago (Britax B-Safe). It basically means that it's either a return, or there's some damage to the box (but not to the actual product). We got our stroller via open box too, and the box was pretty crummy, but everything was brand new inside.

It's usually just a returned item. I buy open box items from Amazon Warehouse often and have no complaints.
