I decided to go ahead and pay for amazon prime because I was getting impatient waiting up to 10 days for my orders plus I always had to wait til I had $25 worth of items before qualifying for free shipping. anyway I noticed that amazon prime prices are higher than the regular products on amazon that dont qualify for prime. and sometimes double the price of items in the store. So is it really worth it to pay $79 a year and then still pay higher prices on each item?

i noticed some products were more expensive too. i always do a price comparison with Target and BRU. Amazon is not always cheaper.

I had no clue prices were higher with Prime! I will be looking for that next purchase.

Yeah I only realized this because I searched for some products under DH's account and noted the prices then remembered I had prime so I logged in to my account to buy with prime and the prices were higher.

are you sure the were higher because of the prime? i only ask because Amazon is notorious for their prices changing all the time.

Sometimes the products that are Prime-Eligible are more expensive than Non-Prime-Eligible items, but that's on a case-by-case basis depending on who is selling them. I always compare all the products even non-Prime and factor that difference in.

I was going to buy Bac Out on Amazon but I'm so glad I waited...I found it for $6 less at a local store!

@Clementine: I think so because the prices are lower when I log back in to DH's account which doesnt have prime, and higher when I log in my account which has prime. Maybe it because of different sellers. I didnt check the sellers

Usually when I factor in free shipping it's still cheaper with prime, but not always. But the price difference is usually so slim that I still buy with prime to get 2 day. I find prime to be a good deal because of the convenience and not always being able to find the products I want in stores without having to drive around.
Also there's no sales tax so when you compare to other stores that's something to factor in as well.

Okay I just went to order replacement filters for my nosefrida. Its $4.99 on amazon prime but its $3.00 on the nosefrida site and even with tax it comes up to $3.21 and shipping is free from their site. So its still cheaper from them except I may not receive it in 2 days
