If I am buying something off someone's wish list (not a registry)
1) Can they see it gone so they know someone bought it before their bday?
2) Will it update so other's can't buy it?

@Mamaof2: for both? That is a bummer. I don't want them to know what I am getting them. Trying to spread out the costs since I have 4 birthday and my parents 40th anniversary expenses next month. But that gives them a month to add stuff and see what is gone.

A friend made a wish list for her twins and I ordered a bunch of stuff and it all disappeared - I was happy because I didn't want others buying duplicates - not sure if it showed it was purchased on their end??

Yup! It marks it as purchased.

I think it takes some digging on their part to find it though - you either have to go to the public view of the wish list or do a "sort by purchased" status or something in order to see. But if they just look at their wish list in the normal editing view it doesn't show anything differently. This is all based on what I recall from this past Christmas...and may depend on how stuff is set up

@Smurfette: Yes, both them and other people will be able to see that it's purchased, unfortunately. They won't know from who, but they'll know it's coming.
